I do the same...so much so that I would not allow my submissive to offer himself to me, even after we met, unless he went to a local munch to see and meet other real live Dommes in the area first.
Submissives have done the opposite, though. I was surprised and embarassed to find that a submissive I was talking to and interested in, though still hadn't met yet in real time, had changed his profile to one of those "under consideration by [specifically naming me], cannot talk without permission".
So not my style, and obviously wishful thinking. lol He quickly changed it back.
