While its hardly the end of the world, I do get a little put off by a yahooo ID at the end of a letter.  In the distant past, I wasted a lot of time chatting with people who turned out never being able to actually meet me. At some point, it dawned on me that I was merely providing them with free on-demand wank material.  I'm not saying that every boy who wants to chat will use you, in fact I have had satisfactory meetings with some of them, but it is teensy red flag.
I prefer the medium of letter because I am leading a very busy life at present. I don't really have a lot of time to banter back and forth at my computer.  Letters are more convenient to me, because I can check them all at once when I have the time.  It seems to me that a well mannered boy will do everything in his power to convenience a dominant before himself.  Telling me to message him reads to me like "you come convenience me" even if it is innocently intended.
Lastly, I see chatting in a messenger as a privilege, to be earned by successfully passing the test of polite and intelligent letter writing.  If the boy is mentally and physically attractive to me, and there is some hope of him actually assisting me in real life, then I may grant him the privilege of chat for the purposes of a face to face meeting.  If he doesn't want to or cannot meet face to face, and just wants to chat, he's really no use to me.
Having said all that, I will still reply to a polite letter from someone who has obviously read my profile, even if the yahoo ID is at the end.  It just begins to irritate my BS detector a little.

When a submissive male sends you a well written, precise, and courteous message/e-mail. Do you also prefer for him to give his yahoo at the message or do you prefer to give him yours?

Neither.

I don't give my private email address to people I don't know, either through their posts on the message boards or from exchanging messages through CMail.  If someone gives me his Yahoo ID or other offsite contact info without establishing a relationship through one of these venues, I automatically dump the mail in the "circular file" and block that person from further contact.

The reasoning behind this decision is two-fold: either the person is a scammer trying to get money or credit card information, or the guy is just trying to get a free cyber sex session.  Whatever the case, I'm not interested.  It makes no sense to leave the door open for further contact by someone who is clearly not a match and, thus, wasting my time.

I hope this questions hasn't been asked. But, here I go.

When a submissive male sends you a well written, precise, and courteous message/e-mail. Do you also prefer for him to give his yahoo at the message or do you prefer to give him yours?

I prefer to get to know each other here on CM before exchanging any additional contact information and if that doesn't work for a sub, then consequently, I prefer not to get to know them at all.

I was talking to a woman through personal messages the other day, and she then decided I was now allowed further access to her, so she then said I now had permission to phone her. That was great, except she never offered a phone number, so I just kind of chalk that up to an oh well moment. Same thing with yahoo. I don't do yahoo messenger, so if someone told me to start talking to her that way, I'm afraid we'd be at our end, if that was how she wanted further conversations. I've decided there are certain applications I don't want on my computer anymore. Yahoo messenger is just one of those.

after a few messages, yes I will move to another venue, but like many others have said on here, if you immediately want Me to talk to you on yahoo, I think you must be wanting cyber,
