ORIGINAL: mcbride "Recruitement"? "Proselytism"? Forgive the correction, but a message that reaches out to Catholics to come home has nothing to do with seeking to convert those of other beliefs. Not that I think the mistake was, oh, say, something more nefarious at play. If Catholics have left they are no longer Catholics. Pleading for them to come home therefore is an appeal to those of other beliefs. "Proselytizing" seems to be an appropriate word. Why does it bother you? Are you unable to admit that many former Catholics have other beliefs or none? Or maybe, they're appealing to people that left the Catholic church while the church leadership was aiding and abetting priest child molesters, now that the most outspoken cardinal (or bishop, whatever the hell his title/rank) against that practice is now pope ? Not all organizations are like the Democrat party, some organizations actually learn from their mistakes. Like it or not the Vatican's message will be heard by those it's directed too. And since i need to sit and listen to all kinds of global warming faith-based cultist bullshit I'm not really impressed with people that choose to whine about having to listen to a Vatican commercial instead of just hitting the damn mute button.
