Hello.  I was wondering if you use any type of device for ambiance at home or at work.

As you know I complain about the noise of the highway here- so I broke out a table top water fountain- it worked splendidly for a few days.  But now  it spills water on the table- and ...I am not sure what it needs.  So I broke out my sound machine which makes ocean- forest- etc sounds.  Even white noise.

Do you use anything ?   Does it work for you?

I have a table top fountain that I use for additional humidity in my apartment, but the sound makes me have to pee! At night I use several CDs in rotation to sleep by, they are all delta wave sounds that really do help with my insomnia. Nature ones make it hard for me to sleep to and during the day I prefer actual music or silence.

I bought an Aerogarden unit and it is wonderful.  Very quiet sounds, a full spectrum light, an some plants all in one.

I played the water sound -during the day- so then when I went to sleep it was in my thoughts.

The fountains tend to be messy- tho nice.  This has been better then a radio in that the song does not get worn out- and no mindless radio promos.

It mimics the sun to its best ability.  It's designed to be good for the plant, but I find it lightens my mood!
