iwillservu has been serving me "online" for several months now. We've interacted on the message boards together, in email, yahoo im, at livejournal, and on the phone. It was exciting to hear that he was going to get time off and be able to come down for a visit. It was originally scheduled for later this month, which was great! My son and his wife are planning a trip to the beach, so I wouldn't have my grand daughter, it would be perfect! Then it changed to Labor Day weekend. No problem, I shifted a few things, and I thought it would work out alright. Then he was late. I thought maybe he had changed his mind. But why didn't he call? Or email? The bus was delayed? He missed the bus? I had no clue, and no way to find out. All I could do was wait. Of course I knew that he had emailed all of his friends to notify the U.S. Marines and the F.B.I. if he didn't contact them by a certain day and time, so if he didn't show up I'd still have company. Ah, but he did show up, and none the worse for a long bus ride from New England to Tennessee. It was such a pleasure to meet and interact with this brilliant, charming, and absolutely witty gentleman that we have all come to know and love!! Alas, due to schedule miscommunications (my grand daughter was with us, and didn't get picked up by one of her parents on schedule) we didn't get any "play" time in, but iwill did get the ironing done , was NOT allowed to cook (I saw his chili recipe on the boards ), he washed the dishes, was tortured (it was just seconds) by a 4 year old, challenged by a cat, forced to stay awake during a game of scrabble with a teenage boy (three letter words littered the board), and his submission was absolutely put to the test over the course of his visit. Service is about what pleases Me, after all. He didn't falter, and I was absolutely delighted! But then...I had no doubt!
