pompeii -> How do I change my login to use a capital first letter? (1/30/2010 8:14:21 AM)

In keeping with the subtle hints of D/s, how do I capitalize (after the fact), the first letter of my login?

I looked all over the profile editing section but didn't find any way to change the "p" in Pompeii to a "P".

Any suggestions?

Once you pick a user name, you're stuck with it.  The only way to change names is to delete your account.  AFIK, that doesn't free up your former user name, however, and a capital 'P' isn't enough of a change to be considered a new name.

you recreate your profile, the index is on username, and when searching or posting or cmailing ignores case, but the index is what it is.

So, check Pompeii if you can create it before you lose pompeii.

Why buy into the bogus people?  Just be yourself and forget what they have to say.  They won't matter in the end anyway.
The whole online capitalization thing has went on too long.

That's not a bad idea. I abhor signatures but only because most are redundant drivel ... but perhaps in my case, it would lesson the waste of dark blue hits to my "who's viewing me" listing ... :)

Delete your account or get over it are really your only options. Myself, I'm more concerned about a dominant having a well-written profile than a capital letter in their username.

Is it possible that people are viewing you because of forum posts?  If I do a search on the other side it tells me if they are dom, sub etc before I open their profile but from reading a post I can't tell what side of the slash a person prefers.

Since Pompeii isn't available you could always do the x's thing...you know xPompeiix or something similar. The x's don't look so hot next to your nick...but ~Pompeii~ doesn't look too bad. Not sure if tildes are acceptable when creating a screen name though.

Nope can't do that do. Xs on either side of the name are used to denote slave characters in certain RPG circles. People might get the wrong idea. [;)]
