What is there to do there? (in the spring)

Best places to go, things to see, do? We will have the little people with us, so adult activities are out of the question.

I tried to go to Destin's city data forum, but could never access it.

Anyone know?

Tia!!

Here's a couple of tourist-y type sites that actually did open in my browser. Perhaps they have helpful info. I've never been to Destin myself but from what I've been told by others, it's quite a lovely vacation place.

Here's what appears to be the city's official web site. At the bottom of that page is a link for vacation and recreational information.

Whatever you end up doing, I hope you have a fun and relaxing time.

This is something you can do anywhere, and I can't remember which was which, but Destin and Ft. Walton Beach (about 5 miles away) had really good miniature golf courses. Very innovative holes. I loved them!!!

I love Ft. Walton Beach!!!!

I love Destin! I think they're the most gorgeous beaches in the country! I went there the first time in 1979, when the area was almost totally undeveloped, no high-rises, nothing but dunes and emerald-green water. It was breath-taking. Now it's so commercialized that you can pretty much do anything you want to do. There are some really cool mini-golf courses, yes :) Such a beautiful place, you'll have a great time!

My daughters didn't like Disney World all that much, but loved Sea World.

Someone was saying something about "red tide" (or something like that) and said it was an issue there? I don't know what it is, but he didn't make it sound like a good thing!!

First time I ever heard of it.....here's a link :) It doesn't sound too good, but hopefully it's only once or twice a year!
