NY Times review I was disappointed to see that this play is apparently presented as a comedy. It still could be quite good, but when even a main stream reviewer notes that is passes up chances for psychological depth for laughs, it worries me.

I guess the extra "s" is not important, but I've always heard it called Venus in Furs and they refer to it as Venus in Fur throughout. I don't think I would want to see the play either way, comedy or drama. While it's an interesting book, it totally lacks likable characters. Though, they could change that for an adaptation, on second thought... DV's Fox
