Hey everyone! My partner is fast becoming interested in kinbaku (so excited...so excited...) She wants to tie me up real special, and I want to be tied up real special. Thing is, she would prefer some variety to the plain white rope we could get at a hardware store. We want color selection! We would appreciate links to web sites you know of that could provide said rope. Thank you so much! Ciao!

On cotton rope, regular fabric dye works quite well.

Just shop around some hardware shops and see what suits. My favourite rope (I only use it for special occasions) came from B&Q of all places! It's white and just the right diameter for easy knot-work, but it's also very strong, silky and sensuous to the touch. Just remember that rope is made for a reason and it you're going to try suspension etc you need a tested strong rope. For lighter stuff like body harnesses I'd start out with silk or even ribbons on each part of the body. BTW that special rope is only used for a Coresellet I tied on Andi (I'll try to find some piccies) and it looks AMAZING. Mind you, she's the woman I've ever known anyway so it just adds to her gorgeousness! Note to self: Play time tonight!!!! P.S. Google "Youtube two knotty boys" for some brilliant (and cool) tutorials!

This site has some nice looking rope which I assume can be dyed any colour you like, and it's dirt cheap [:D] Actually, it's got some great cheap stuff all round.

You can try any outdoor outfitter store that sells camping/hiking equipment. Ropes used for rock climbing come in a large variety of sizes, colors, and patterns. The only down side is the rope is a lot more expensive compared to the stuff at Home Depot. I do not have the links but just Google the items below. Bass Pro Shops Cabelas REI Campmor

My rope is also now available from Boss Bondage, Lochai and Rainbow. At the mo, I am working with my supplier to improve it further. My spies have been out collecting samples of the best Japanese style rope available. I'm taking a lesson from the Japanese school of business: Take a product everyone is happy with and make it even better for less [;)]
