hi all, just a question for anyone else who has nipple rings.

Master had my nipples pierced about 18 months ago, they healed well and have never had an infection. Every now and again though one nipple gets really really senstive, sore kinda but no sign of infection or redness or anything. I cant attribute it to anything, like its not from play or whatever...thoughts?

TheShadows -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/26/2006 5:49:10 AM)

I've had my nipples pierced twice in the past, but they never took.  My best guesses would be...

you jerked it wrong in your sleep, and it got irritated;
your soap or body lotion irritated it;
might be around your time of the month...

Just speculation on my part.

Though, if it continues to happen, keep a close eye on it, as the soreness may be attributed to very slow, sporatic migration.

Unless it's just really causing you serious problems, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Good luck!

I had both of mine done a year ago.  I love them, but like you, my right one hurts every now and then.  No infection either.  I don't live with Master, so they aren't played with all the time but it still hurts for no reason.  I think its because its a hole that isn't suppose to be there and my body just gets pissed at it!!  Unless it shows some signs of infection, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

preciousgem -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/26/2006 11:43:32 PM)

i have had mine for about a year and this also some times happens to me, it could be from over play, your bra or shirt rubbing them the wrong way,it could also just simply be as others have stated here it could be close to that time of them month. when i got mine done the pericer did tell me that beng sore even after they heal is normal and not to worry about it to much unless they stayed sore for a long time, they looked infected, or where migrating.

you should be ok,just make sure you are cleaning like you did when they where frsit done. not sure how they told you do it  cause every percicer has a differnet way of telling people to take care of them. if you are still worried about it talk to the percier i am sure they wont mind answering any questions you have.

Thanks, its settled down today..its weird when it happens..I have been hormonal lately, so you could all be right on that part [:)]

SirWizDom -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/27/2006 1:54:01 AM)

I had my girls nipples done in october last year. They both seemed to heal in around 4-6 weeks, but continued to get sore from time to time. Eventually, 2 weeks ago, I removed them and the holes healed immediately and she now is pain free ... guess I'll have to do them again in a few weeks. lol

slavejali -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/27/2006 4:04:08 AM)

yeah that was weird for me too, the piercer told me that nipples piercings can take up to a year to heal but they healed really fast for me it seemed.

MHOO314 -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/27/2006 4:49:53 AM)

curious, how much did it hurt?

yourMissTress -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/27/2006 4:45:24 PM)

slavejali, I can empathize with you.  I've had mine done for a while now, and they took a long time (3 months) to heal in the first place.  Every once in a while one is just extra sensitive and I really can't figure out why.

MH, when I had them pierced it didn't hurt at all, but I'm odd like that with piercings, my adrenaline and endorphins must be on override.  A few hours later I thought they were on fire (lasted about a day), and for the first 3 months they were tender.

slavejali -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/27/2006 8:51:34 PM)

Mistress Hathor,

It was so fast, it hardly hurt at all, although one side the sensation was more intense, I guess it hurt a little on that side. The peircer guy was so mean, before he did it he was like saying how he had had men passing out from having their nipples pierced and how he thought Master was cruel having them both done at once...and how brave i was lol (gulp)

I can relate to what yourMissTress said about the firey sensation afterwards and they were very sensitive and I felt like I wanted to protect them for the first month or so.

LadyDeeNile -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/27/2006 9:01:19 PM)

jali...is the nipple that becomes tender by chance on the dominant side of your body ie: right side if right handed or visa versa? Perhaps you've done something repetitive with that hand/arm during that particuliar day that has caused excessive movement of your clothing and or bra over the nipple ring........
Lady Dee

slavejali -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/28/2006 12:27:48 PM)

hi Lady Dee,

Yes, its the right side that becomes tender and I'm right handed....its interesting too when I mentioned about when I had them first done and one hurt more than the other, I remembered that was the right side too.

nicochan -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/28/2006 5:37:11 PM)

i only have the left one pierced (i wanted Him to have options, heheh), and the only times i remember it being upset, other than from pulling and play, were kind of random. i assume they were times i slept wrong, or irritated it in some way.

Dezires -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/30/2006 6:41:20 AM)

Piercing ANYTHING is going to cause soreness in the area for awhile. You just had someone shove a metal object through your flesh, and a tender part of your flesh at that!

Any area that moves a lot, gets banged around a lot, and gets "contacted" with a lot is going to end up getting sore now-and-again. You're pissing the piercing off, and re-opening the wound that's there.

Sea-Salt soaks and anti-bacterial soap is what I recommend for you to use all the time.

Twice a day with Sea-Salt soaks (1 teaspoon of NON-IODIZED sea-salt with 1 cup of nice warm distilled water) for about 10 minutes on each nipple.

In between the Sea-Salt soaks, try not to lie on your stomach, wear nice supportive COTTON bras (especially if they're sore), and try to limit play with the actual piercing.

Do you have a CBR (Captive ring), Horseshoe ring, or barbell? Do you wear nipple clamps, shields?

If it's a ring, you might want to change it to a bar. I noticed that with all my piercings that the curvier the barbell, the slower it'll heal...even AFTER A YEAR.

If you haven't already, switch to a barbell when it's sore.

Use anti-bacterial soap on it in the shower instead of shower gels/foams and other highly perfumed soaps.

Dezires -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/30/2006 6:43:23 AM)

Also, if you get both done, the second one is going to hurt more because your endorphines and adreneline were used during the first one.

sweetpettjenny -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/30/2006 4:03:48 PM)

mine did that , until i changed them to titanium from stainless...what a difference

Dezires -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/31/2006 6:20:27 AM)

Titanium is a better metal then steel. It's the one that's most recommended (not to mention the one I recommend most to customers at my work (we sell body jewelry)).

MasterShake -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/31/2006 10:32:04 AM)

I had both of mine done for years.  That sometimes happened to me.  It was little, what I call, "crusties" that would form on the ring , even years after healing. Kind of like sleep in your eye.  I would just soak with warm sea-salt water, usually in a small paper cup, and it would clear right up.  Or you couls just enjoy the soreness while it's there.  Sometimes that's the best part.[:D]

Dezires -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/31/2006 9:10:52 PM)

Yea, sea-salt (plleeeease make it NON-IODIZED lol) is the best thing. It's just...a high-contact piercing :)

Oh, and MasterShake - Crusties are actually what piercers call it ^_^ It's just the fluids that naturally come out crust up on it. When I stretch my ears, I get them.

slavejali -> RE: Nipple Rings (3/31/2006 9:22:00 PM)

I used sea-salt when they were healing, it was great~
