Well I often wonder. You receive a message saying "Hi". If you look at their profile it is most often not found or say absolute nothing. Some times i do respond, but only with a "Hi" back. Most times that is the last I ever hear from same person. Weird world this one[:D]

the first c-mail exchange between hubby and i (btw...married to him for almost six yrs...happy.....kids.....you get the idea) was actually three words...."How are you?" It served the purpose of having the recipient check out the senders profile and respond if interested.

It may not work for everyone, but it worked for us[:)]

3 words? I get one word just saying "Hi". Thats it, the whole message . . . "Hi". WTF am I supposed to do with that? So I was in a sarcastic mood, I know, hard to believe that I woud ever ne sarcastic . . . anyway, I wrote them back and I just said "Hi".

. . . the next day, there in my mail box is a response. I am curious now to see why this person contacted me and I am actually looking forward to any details that might be in this letter. I open it up and is says, “Hi” …

…OMG,WTF, ROTFCOPTER

I learned to stop answering one word messages.

Santoro -> RE: Whats with the lack of Motivation? (2/4/2010 3:55:19 AM)

Lazy has absolutely nothing at all to do with a single or few word responses, a yes or no is all that is necessary when ask if you are interested or told to read my profile and respond. When reviving a 3-page questioner especially when the questions are clumsy and disguised as general conversation warrants nothing more then, thank you for contacting me. Its not about lazy but you have every right to form opinions that best serve your interest.

I don't by any means think that everybody on this site is like this, but I have noticed there are an awful lot of lazy people who use this system. Why is it that people seem to think a 3 word message is enough? Why are they so unwilling to ask a few questions or explain what they are after? Is it too much to ask that people be interesting?

Am I the only one with this issue?

You ARE the only one who specifies in his last paragraph that the only communications you want are those specifying what kind of scene you want the other one to play with you.

If by "being lazy", you mean someone who doesn't feel like giving you the scene description, then there are a lot of lazy people here.

Dude, you're gay, which limits your playing field considerably (although you do say you're open to corresponding with women), and you're into puppy play, which limits you further.  I'd suggest not imposing too many other requirements, such as the first message should describe a scene.

DesFIP -> RE: Whats with the lack of Motivation? (2/4/2010 5:09:42 AM)

Perhaps you shouldn't demand that other people be interesting to you until you can guarantee that you are interesting to others. BTW I read your profile, totally uninteresting.

I think you are missing the point:
The 3 word message is a very efficient screening tool.
They are letting you know upfront that they are uninteresting and therefor not worthy of your pursuit.
I think it is rather thoughtful of them to express their consideration for the value of your time in that manner.

There are a lot of lazy people generally.

Now I understand, people are not expecting everybody to write a massive message, but I think I am ok in saying that people join groups like this because they want some level of interaction. I might even be bold enough to say that perhaps they should consider a minimum amount of characters to send an email.

While I'm aware this was address to sophiesback, I found it actually answered the question you, the OP, asked.  The bolded part, in particular, is an assumption on your part.  Yes, you would assume people were here to interact with others but, maybe not.  I've come across quite a few who just get off on trolling profiles with 1 or 3 word emails and spam or trolling the forums with fantasy posts and the aforementioned spam.  In other words....a whole host of reasons why...not to mention a lot of wanking.

If it bothers you, simply ignore them...the block button is your friend.  I've tried, like others have mentioned, to have some sort of conversation with these types, just to see if there was anything to them besides a word or two.  I've decided it's not my job to teach internet strangers social graces or proper emailing techniques.  Either they want to contect or they don't...my time is too valuable to waste on "what if's" or "maybe in time...".

Life's too short to get caught up in other people's faults....we all have our own to look to and work on.

intenze -> RE: Whats with the lack of Motivation? (2/4/2010 5:36:23 AM)

to the OP
here is one, short and sweet:
hit the block button. Quit whinging.

Puckerpup, you sly puppy dog. If I did not know better the last paragraph on your profile could be mistaken as a trolling for wanking material request.

Based on what? Thats a pretty irrational observation.

YOU SHOULD TRY TO READ THE FORUM BEFORE YOU POST. Im not talking about their responses to me, I'm talking about their opening messages to me.

He responded "moo".  I responded "cow".  The ball is in his court.  The jury is still out on whether he is actually lazy or not, but it's definitely getting more interesting.

Cali

I too have received many 1 or 2 word emails related to both domestic and farm animals. That jury is busy.

I've gotten a few of these, and I heard the jury was hung (pun intended only if you want it so) LOL
