Good idea by londonswitch. I have a few questions out of curiosity. What do two switches do when both want to be Dom (or sub)? What if you in the middle of a scene and the sub says, "All right, I want to top now."? When the top is doing something bad/good (yous know what I'm saying) do you ever think, "I can wait to do that to him/her."?

Interestingly, I have never had the urge to top at the same time my Mentor has wanted to top. This is a neat question. I wonder if there is an inner understanding when you are playing with one person that you just "know" when it is your turn. Since I am extremely new at topping anyway, I am still getting used to my top switch being turned on.

I am also finding that I am a gentle Dominant female....to a point. I start very gently and I can literally feel the aggression growing as I move along. I think that is exciting, and would be exciting to the bottom. I think this will be especially true during play with a long term partner. He'll know what is coming...grins.

I will admit that I have fantasized while being the bottom about turning the tables on the Dom. Something to consider trying...grins. But it has not been a feeling of..."I must top NOW." It's been more of a fantasy in my head. I have to say that when I am bottoming, that is where my head space is. I don't find I can change it on the drop of a dime...especially with a Dominant that knows what buttons to push. When I'm flying around in subspace, it's not something that I personally can jerk myself out of and change the mindset quickly. Others may be different and have more insight to share.

I have switched and started as a sub before the Dominant in me came out and stayed out. I found that switching with a partner is very confusing for me and I won't do it. If I see someone as a sub and me as their Dom, that is the way the relationship stays. It's Ok to switch, but choose a different person. I don't know if it will work for anyone else, but it works for me.

This is a very interesting subject I think should be
addressed further by the Switches of Our Collarme
