Men need to be cautous, too

this will probably ruin this guys life - and he thought he was participating in a consentual fantasy.

What can a guy who is drawn to the 'sudden stranger rape' fantasy do to protect himself?

actually talk to the woman on the phone? Meet her somewhere public to verify who she is? Realize that the "sudden stranger rape fantasy" is too risky to participate in?

Meet with the girl, for starters.

This same scenario actually happened to me a few years back, except it had a happy ending.
I met a guy online who said he and his gf wanted a "burglar rape" fantasy. After a few chats, I agreed, then met the guy at a coffee shop to size each other up. Except he said she didn't want to meet, but wanted to be surprised.

Being new and naive, I agreed, and we drove over, where he had a ladder, duct tape and other things prepared. We climbed up, and did the scene, and she actually was very pleased with it, saying afterward how much she got off on it.

Except I realized later how terribly wrong it could have gone, and sweated bullets just thinking of it.

These sorts of scenes are inherently dangerous, because all sorts of things can go wrong- people suffocate if the duct tape is improperly applied, people accidently get a fingernail in the eye, and so on and so forth.

Live and learn, and be extremely careful.

Wha LaFayette and Rex said- hear it straight from the girls mouth before believing it's consensual. I hear prison just plain sucks, and the offender status follows you for life. Rapist and child molesters are on the bottom of the pecking order, despised by the other convicts. Steep price to risk paying for fulfilling someone elses fantasy.

My personal opinion he's either a dumb-ass or knew the odds and did'nt give a fuck.

Come on here, did'nt this even occur once in that brain/mind of his, that he might be being tricked? Even more considering the amount of Media coverage regarding people being Tricked by people posing as this, that or another thing online?

So either he's a bit of a dumb ass, that did not think about the risk elements involved, where as he has a LOW IQ or some other mental defect.

or

He thought about the risks involved, then figured he go for it anyways, then use the internet message exchanges in his defense if things went bad.

If somebody says they don't want to meet because it would ruin the Realism of the Rape Play, they are wrong. You can meet for coffee sit down and talk without it ruining the scene one damn bit. Because terms such as suprise abductions can be worked out (where they won't know when or etc.. can be figured out). Plus the fact, that some people have busy schedules. So yeah. In terms of Rape Play, it does not have to include Kidnap or Abduction to it. If they want to make it realistic, the fact is that most "Rapes" don't occur by complete strangers. Truely, anybody who wants does not want to meet or reveal themselves enough to establish Trust for engaging in such an activity, it's best to leave it the Hell alone.

In terms of the Girls Ex-boyfriend, Yeah.. that dude really has Justice coming to him.

He can go to jail for being such a complete douchenozzle.  Maybe the ten to fifteen strech might give him the time to reflect on the douchebaggery of his ways and come out a much wiser and thoughtful human being.

Really dumb thread.

It seems Darwinian to me. He is taking himself out of the gene pool. We can all sleep a bit better for it.

It's pretty obvious.

Don't get involved in one period. Especially someone you don't know.

Realize that by necessity, some details of some fantasies will always be fantasy?

It also could have gone wrong in another direction, there could have been a group of men waiting to surprise and rape the guy when he got there.  This happened to a friend of mine many years ago.  Just because you are a man doesn't mean you don't have to take the same safety precautions a woman would.

He might already have kids.

Just sayin'.
