Coemgen -> Smoking fetish safety questions... (2/10/2010 6:01:28 PM)

A while back, when my goody two-shoes girlfriend told me that she had never tried smoking, I told her that it might be a turn on for me if she tried smoking a cigarette. We tried it and sure enough it was a big turn on for both of us. We are both very healthy people who don't believe in smoking, or at least getting addicted to smoking. We have limited indulging in the smoking fetish to once a week, and so far this has done the trick as far as her not developing a habit to them goes. However, we are still concerned about the health risks and her eventually getting addicted to them. Do you think that if she only smokes two cigarettes one day a week, she won't have to worry about getting addicted? I've heard of people who are able to control their smoking and only smoke when they want to, but I'm not sure how easy this is to do. Additionally, if we find that it's not possible to keep using regular cigarettes without her feeling like she's getting hooked, we would like to find a good cigarette alternative to use. Marijuana is out of the question because they do random drug testing at work and we wouldn't even know where to get some. Clove cigarettes sounded promising, but come to find out they are now illegal to sell. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

It depends on what your fetish is with regard to cigarette smoking. If it is just seeing the cigarette in her hand, she doesn't have to light it. If it does involve the actual smoke, or the ash, or the embers... perhaps she can light it and not actually smoke it. There are no healthy cigarettes. They do make a mechanical cigarette of some sort, but I honestly have no clue if there are any toxins involved or smoke involved - I haven't actually seen one.

You can buy fake cigarettes that are made of plastic.  The 'filter' is chargeable and you inhale the puffs of steam and can blow them out.  It looks just like smoking and apparently tastes similar, but it's just hot water :P

They're used as a stop-smoking aid for people who are more orally fixated than addicted.  The kinds my dad uses are the SmokeAnywhere brand and apparently they work really well.

Good luck.  :)  And kudos for being more focused on health than kink.  That's always the basis for a great relationship and great personal habits.

I was going to suggest this. I love those things as they come in different flavors and just amazing. Plus you can smoke in a resturant using them. I keep meaning to get myself one so I have something to do with my hands.

Ecigs, electronic cigarettes. NJoy is one brand name that comes to mind and I've tried that system. It comes in (going by memory here..) about three parts. There is a filter, something you drop into the filter and the 'white part'. It emits a small amount of vapor with no smell to it. I think its about fifty dollars to start up the system and honestly if it is the smoking itself that gets you.. it may not work. It is heavier than a cigarette and has no smell or ash.

Smoking 2 cigarettes a day would be IMO a risk of addiction. Since I am a smoker who cannot overcome the addiction my view could be skewed but it's just not something I can understand risking in this day and age.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not too sure about the plastic cigarette because a large part of being turned on by her smoking is that she is doing something "bad". Camille65, she smokes 2 a day but only once per week during our Saturday evening playtime. She has not yet developed a habit for it, but we've only been doing this for about a month.

I too would say smoking a couple of cigs a month could become habit forming. I use to only smoke when I was out with friends and drinking which wasn't that frequently, but before I knew it... I was a SMOKER.... Of course everyone is different and your partner may never develop the addiction.

However, if she does it's a hard one to break. I recently quit with help (hypnosis) after years of smoking....(thank goodness- I certainly feel and smell better)

It is probably less difficult to become addicted to cigars (I think?), so maybe invest in a couple of tasty cigars and try those? With a cigar you don't inhale though they're still unhealthy. Cigars can be sexy! Plus some smell really yummy.

I also started with the" I only smoke when drinking", then "just one with coffee in the morning", and yep, got hoolked on the things. I use the ecigs at wrok, because I work on a non smoking campus, and 12.5 hours without a cigarette sucks. (And I can hide out in the employee RR with a fkae one and not get busted).

I'd seriously rethingk the "it's just 2" idea, because they are extremely habit forming.

Can you tell me where one might find these? It sounds like in the long run not only might it lead to me quitting, but also be less expensive while I get to that point.

They are called e-cigarettes and they are a battery powered, plastic cigarette.
Unfortunately its not just water. Its nicotine vapor and nicotine vapor is just as addictive as real cigarettes. We also don’t yet know the consequences of inhaling vaporized nicotine
Medical researches including Cancer Society are warning people not to use e-cigarettes till we understand more about them.
