Near the end of this movie Jodie Foster walks in this very weird looking house. Weird it may be, but this would be the perfect house for a MISTRESS. How many houses have 20 feet deep holes in the basement? Not many. If I would own a house like this, I would use the hole to test my slaves once a week.

You simply calculate exactly how many slaves it would take to reach to the basement floor by standing on each others shoulders. Like in a circus. You then give them a ladder for them to descend and you remove it once they are all down there.

You tell them that the first one out of the hole gets a reward. This would be a hell of a battle. Slaves trying to get on top of each other to please the Mistress.

Wonder what the reward could be?

Actually, this brought to mind a comment I heard when my children were toddlers from a well-respected and well known pediatrician/author.

He said that the way to look at a toddler who wants attention is this way: If you offer a child a soggy potato chip or no potato chip at all -- he/she will take the soggy one every time. In other words -- they would rather have bad attention than no attention at all.
