Mistresses, what is it with all these "4u" bits in your usernames? They are becoming so much more popular lately. I can think of few things more contrary to the spirit of female supremacy or just female domination in general than to sport anything that is "4u." Submission/slavery is not about getting; it's about giving, doing "4" another, not one's self. Sometimes I just think people don't think. Or is my thinking off?

"4U" is ok in a sub's nick. I don't think it belongs in a Dom's name. I've had far to many subs who think that I'm in the lifestyle to do things "For Them" - not happening.

Personally, I find any form of text speak rather lazy. That goes for screen names as well as personal messages. What? Someone was sitting at their keyboard and couldn't type out the whole three or four letters? Yeah. That's going to make Me think that they are thorough in their service. [8\|]

Exactly LP - I hate net speak for that reason. I use LOL and that's about it - and I expect that out of people that e-mail us as well.

Yes, but nick names have a limited number of letters available. Don't type "4U" in a message. You have unlimited characters there.

I'm still against it - there are other ways to express yourself, even if a character-limited screen name. It shows a lack of creativity to me.

My first gut instinct was to say that yes, text speak annoys me, especially in screen names. Then I thought about it and the "4u" part sounded really familiar. So I looked up the profile of a friend who I know is on the site but doesn't post in the forums. Sure enough there she was with 4u tacked at the end of her name. Now I know her in real life, so I know she is not lazy and I know she is very intelligent, so I have to assume she had a good reason for picking that name. I feel it is not my place to question the goddess, so I am just going to enjoy the pics she put up and ignore the name.

I think that you are putting us all in a little box of what a dominant is and should be and how we are to act if we are thinking and real. If I want to be for someone, then I can be. Not all of us are into female supremacy and many don't believe it is all about one... the dominant. For me it is about two, him for me and me for him. Does that distract from my dominance? Or do I need to act in a way that proves I am a dominant in your eyes? I don't like personal projections dictating what a dominant or a submissive are supposed to be.

Yes, screen names are the 'first impression' so to speak. A fact, I believe, that some people seem to forget, and which frankly, saves me a ton of time. Example AnalSlut4U - DELETE Footsub4U - I like getting foot worship so I'll at least read the profile. If it isn't all about what he can do for me, NEXT. I guess for me, it's not drilled down to the 4U, as much as it's my reaction to the rest of it as a whole. I mean 4U in a screen name has a least a 'bit' of direction. And yes, I agree with the posters who abhor 'net speak'. Type it out, or go text a teenager. LOL

Maybe the 4u person is a service top ? CM doesn't provide that option when selecting our orientations, so perhaps its a way to convey that while she is a top, she tops for the pleasure and benefit of the other.

What Lockit said. OP, I don't have to fit into your restrictive little box. I get to be who I want to be, and do the things that I want to do, my way. If that includes things that you or anyone else don't consider "dominant", tough shit. Get over it. My slaveboy and I are in this for our mutual pleasure and fulfillment. Thanks for the link Kitty, oddly enough most of the lyrics web site attribute it to Lords Of Acid.
