CERCKL -> "I'm Not Getting What I Want Here" (3/28/2006 7:11:26 AM)

This seems to be a continuous mantra...especially with newer posters on the boards. Also, complaints about no responses, whining about players, etc, etc, etc...
I want to know 'why'...I think it's because of you, not everyone else here.
First three points of budhhism points out that life is suffering; suffering is caused by holding on/attachment to your expectations/things and to free yourself from suffering you need to let go...define why you're here, define what you want or who you want and then take responsibility for yourself. If you send out emails and you get few responses, why? Are you boring as dried up shit? Rude? Not reading the profile and contacting the wrong people? Perhaps, those who don't respond are ones you don't need anyway? Imagine that...our reality is created for us and sometimes, we don't perceive the interconnections and yet they work towards what we want. Still, focus on the shit and that's all you find. You get what you want. Truly want.
All players. Yep.
All fakes. Damn straight.
No one wants me. You got it baby...
...anything else we can do to feed your negative self image and justify why you're an asshole? We are here to manifest what you seek.

Maybe, if you are sincere and want advice, read; ask questions...and I mean frame those questions correctly... be pro-active. Learn some goddamn personal skills (like My own sweet self here). Be polite. Respond to their profile. Yes, read and actually try to strike a 'conversation' up...and for godssake use a dictionary.

For me, I am looking for friends, I am seeking information, advice and perhaps give a bit...if you can use what you find, great; if you just want to whine, piss, moan...well expect to get called on it...at least some of us are entertained at the expense of your little ego...

Yes, but another tenant of Buddhism is compassion. Some people truly haven't learned anything about themselves nor do they care to. Still, it's their path. Not everyone will reach for enlightenment.

But, that still doesn’t mean they’re not annoying! Just that we understand why they’re annoying when they don’t! LOL

ahh a breathe of fresh air---I liken this site as any internet site to Mass Marketing--and an ad is your mailbox---it's out there, and because its out there, you are going to get mail you don't want. Spam, ads, coupons,etc etc--your only option is to take the mail box down and remove the address- OR throw away the junk and review and keep what's good--but because its there--you have to expect you are prey to whatever mail comes in.

Now, you also have the right though to refuse anything you don't want--just because I don't want your mail, doesn't mean I have to close My mail box. Just because I am a single Mom and you are selling mowers to men, doesn't mean I have to remove My mailbox.

Ladies and gentlemen, the internet and these sites are no different than your mailboxes.

I am growing fond of reading the complaints most are hilarious.  As mentioned earlier getting in touch with theirselves would help but it would cut out a lot of the unintentional humor.  I send replies to people and must be the most fortunate person here because I almost always get a reply.

When I was new to the site I got no where near the replies BUT after READING (already mentioned but it can't hurt to throw the line out there again) many posts and asking at "Ask a sub" what is right/wrong /attracting or not with My Profile and actually listening to the replies I started getting  more replies to My posts. Must just be a coincidence. ha ha.

Ah, but did you know that when you turn off the light it gets darker?

Once again I find myself reflecting on how this network is a free resource. How many things are free in this age, even when they are advertised as such?

You are quite correct. It takes patience, tact, good communication skills, honest personal assessment and knowing thyself to form a connection with another that has any hope of panning out. While I do believe in being open and understanding to problems one may be facing, I likewise feel compassion can take the form of a silent steamroller, serving as nothing more than a gilded blinder for personal flaws or a corrupt ego.

The "sympathy card" is definitely a face card in the deck of manipulation. For some reason your steamroller analogy reminds me of A FISH CALLED WANDA.

Chill out, don't come onto this site expecting Dommes to fall at your feet, because it ain't happening, and well it ain't happening. Too many people join up and message me with one off's a lot of bi/gay (or so they say) message me once about my hair, and then i message back and will either get a completely stupid responce like "lets meet up now slaveboi" or nothing at all. The lesson is chill out, enjoy the company of this place and who knows someone may take a shining.

I am a strong believer in the philosophy that you get back what you give out.  If you are full of bitterness and cyncism and all kinds of negativity, then that is what you are going to attract.

Like attracts like.  If you want something positive -- be positive.  If what you are looking for is people who are caring and decent and honest......then BE caring, decent, and honest.  To all those you come in contact with, not just the select few who you deem worthy of your caring, decency, and honesty.

A book I recently read summarized this simply by saying that you can't give away what you don't have.  The people I frequently see (in person, not talking about online) who are single and doing nothing but constantly complaining about it are also usually the ones other people are politely trying to back away from at a very quick pace........hopefully without spilling their drink.

Good topic, Cerckl.

not at all.   its because of the long lost art of what was once called "common courtesy", no longer exists today in certain circles.

HoosierScorpio -> RE: "I'm Not Getting What I Want Here" (3/28/2006 3:40:05 PM)

I have done all the right things when responding. I am never rude unless they show their rudeness and uncivilized manners. I have been looking for a while and still get allot of those who think I am player because I have been respond to allot because they are not responding back. Some of these ladies have had so many run in with players they have turned them selves off some one who is real responding to them.  I have made some good friends on here and have met them in person but I have also heard from allot from those same people with the same problems. When you run across 10 people and 8 have had the same problem then there is something there.  We need to talk about this so we can make change and in hopes making things better.  Were the protocol this lifestyle has we should be practicing this at all times.  If we can not be open and honest about our feelings about this issue then how can you communicate with your Master, Mistress, slave, and sub?

litaTshai -> RE: "I'm Not Getting What I Want Here" (3/28/2006 3:59:38 PM)

Greetings, All,

i think there are a couple of issues here that contribute to the problem.

first off,  too many of us approach this, like everything else, with a "fast food" mentality.  we want instant gratification in every area of our lives.  face it, folks, it ain't gonna happen.  even bread must be given time to rise or it's no good.  most things in life are better if given time to develop naturally, not pushed because we are in such a hurry.  we forget that even with "fast food", a lot of time and thought has been taken by a lot of people for a long time ahead of your visit to the drive-up window to insure that you can get your food quickly.  even fast food may not really be all that fast.  we just think it is because  the restaurants have prepard a lon g time ahead, hoping we will suddenly want something quickly.

secondly, we do not want to have to think.  we want everything to work like machinery.  push this button, throw that switch, and voila!  a perfect item drops at our feet.  not everything works that way either.  we can perform steps 1,2, and 3 a hundred times over, but that doesn't mean the result will be the same every time, nor does it mean the "machine" is broken.  we are all human beings, and humans aren't "mechanical".   the same input won't get the same results with all of us every time.  heck it won't even get the same results with one of us each and every time.

so, getting what we want, whatever that may be, takes a lot of time, thought, and effort.  sorry but there aren't any shortcuts.

just the thoughts of an old slave.

respectfully submitted,

lita {Tshai}
