well hawt damn!!!!

Monday we are getting a snow/ice combo with a follow-up of plain ol snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We haven't had mail delivery since Feb 7th (can't plow out the mailbox), i refuse to allow the LoudOne outside because of the Saber swords hanging from the house (icicles), i was three hours late getting the kid to school last Thursday because of two inches of ice sealing the car doors closed, i have been out of the house just three times since the 7th because Jimmy needs the 4WD for work and the Honda Civic does not double as a plow, i wear thigh high boots and they are STILL full of snow when i take them off, the generator has a hole (rust) in the gas tank and is far too dangerous to use and there are none for sale anywhere...and the FUCKING POWER LINES WILL BE DOWN ON MONDAY BECAUSE OF THE ICE AND I HOLD OUT NO HOPE AT ALL FOR THE FUCKING TREES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to SCREAM because of the reactions of some of my 'supportive' family members.

Last year I had to take steroids for nearly 6 months, which meant I put on weight. Now the drugs are out of my system, I've started to lose weight.

Soooo, I lost a stone. 14lbs. Fuckin' awesome in my book! It only took 4 weeks, but that's cos I'm doing it properly and safely (doctor's support) and I'm exercising loads. I've dropped a dress size. I look and feel pretty damned good.

So the response from NOT ONE BUT TWO of my female family members.."It's all water...start drinking again and it'll go straight back on" (I drink 1 to 2 litres of water every day, always have done).

Or, "don't lose TOO much, you're beginning to look gaunt" (my doc has advised me to lose another 30lbs or so).

And the best one: "when you're as big as you are, you always lose it quickly at first". OK, I'm no size zero super-model, but I'm a US size 12. Not exactly a fuckin' elephant!

Oh, and the last 2 comments were from the SAME person in the SAME sentence! WTF???!!!

Why can't people get it through their thick heads that some of us actually work hard, and have the self-will to refuse things they like for the sake of their health?

JUST BE HAPPY FOR ME, DAMMIT!!!!
