ORIGINAL: mikeyOfGeorgia i can still find it amusing, regardless of the remorse (or lack thereof) Let's just say, for sake of arguemnt that the opposite is true... That there is a heaven or hell or purgatory... How funny would that be? I personally don't believe in a heaven or hell as depicted by zealots. I suspect there is something after the physical dies. Energy is not destroyed, it only changes form. I like to think that my conciousness will survive in some form, just maybe not as me. But back to the subject. Whether one believes Jesus actually walked the earth, or that Jesus was God incarnate, the simple fact is that nowhere in any texts does Jesus address the subject of sexuality whatsoever. One can also see the clear lack of any discussion on where to dig a latrine. Maybe Jesus never dropped a deuce but surely some of the folks did. Why would such an importart fact be left out? My guess is, it simply had no importance to the message. Basically, if sexuality was of such great importance, there should have been whole sermons about it... there should have been at least one verse. We have the stories of Jesus verbally lashing the hell out of the religious leaders of the day, over-throwing the commercial enterprises in the Temple, but not a single word about gays or lesbians. Not one word.
