He plays the system to make money.

He is a thug- yes.

He also relieves stress.

I have seen many of his videos.  He has a radio show in LA.   His premise is that people freak out over PC.  And this stunt- which was meant to sell his DVDs-- played the U- played the media and played anyone who wants to be a victim.

He throws in cracker comments- and faggot comments.  So yes the guy is crude.

The thing- is the more people get upset over him- the funnier it is.  His fans love it.

I understand that many do not like the shock jock entertainment.  

Ya know-  his vids give me a peak into what is possible with crime.     Always know what others are capable of.

When that University lady went on and on- about an "investigation"-   what are they going to do about it?   Some thug threw a barbarque.   OOOOOOOOOOOO  Ut oh.

He ought to bike lock that whole campus!

Since I spend a lot of time on the campus of a university, it usually means that I get involved in addressing it through the institution where this event was promoted... and yes, it reflects on the institution that these frat boys belong to because they represent the university as an organization... they also promoted it on campus. So yes, it does involve the larger campus community because students are associated with it that find it offensive because they attend the same institution...If these were any white people from anywhere I doubt it would get this attention.

As a graduate student when I go out into the larger community and represent myself as connected with my institution to gain access to events, research populations, etc, I have an obligation to conduct myself with respect and ethics... so do fraternities and sororities. If they do not conduct themselves appropriately they can have permission for their organization to exist revoked.

I refer you to my last post... yes they do require permission, they exist as an organization within a larger group... so you are wrong

Just like if you went out and did BDSM in the street in front of where you work your boss would be justified in firing your ass

Tell me Juila, does misgivings go for the Black Greeks too? Do they fall into this mythical "they"

There were 100's and 100's of kids at this thing, black, white, Asian, Middle Easterners, Hispanics. They all got dressed up in Pimp and Ho Getto style..... if they were mocking anything, there were MOCKING PIMP AND HO GETTO STYLE. Has that all of a sudded become off limits to mock of? Tell me... what IS OK to make fun of, mock and satire.

You know what, go to comptom and dress "ghetto"... then say the N word as loud as you can, please, be my guest, go today and do this!

I was explaining that those who are involved in a fraternity do owe an explanation for how they use this status to get people to go to events and advertise it in a university setting, how some might find this offensive, and how I wouldn't like seeing this shit at my university either...

Now you do not approve of my opinion... I really do not care... but the FACT of the matter is that the fraternity that took part in this made the news, there was backlash from some of the people that belong to the group that was mocked, and those who took part in it and promoted it showed poor judgment in using their fraternity affiliation to do so... and they may pay for that by losing their fraternity status. I do not make the rules, hell, I do not even go to that school, but I understand why this is so. If you can't, that is fine, like I said, go catch a bus to compton knock yerself out

I am not offended

I am just presenting the other side of this is all.. the story made it sound as though anyone who might find this offensive doesn't have the right to because a Black guy planned it, and that just isn't right in my opinion...

I noticed that fatdomdaddy has not addressed that there was a fraternity that went on a college campus and circulated invitations to this event and offended their fellow students that were of the ethnic minority being mocked by them. There are rules in the charter of every campus organization not to engage in things like this, and there is a reason why... we all have to get along and respect each other... You wanna go off on your own free time outside of the campus without advertising your affiliation to that campus and act like a douche bag... go for it... but don't involve the university.
