stef's way works

use the [img and [/img tags - just close the bars

LanceHughes -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 9:45:38 PM)

nope.... and I think I followed your instructions perfectly.

I can see it perfectly (on my PC)  So...
Then go to create a post in the forum.  At the bottom of the post click the box that says "Embed picture in post."  Then click on the link to the left where it says "Click here to upload!" and then find the pic where you saved it, and click ok.  Note that the pic will NOT appear in the box, or the preview - you just have to trust that it's there.  Type whatever you like in the box and the pic will appear in the post below the text once you click "OK."

UniqueRaven -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 9:47:41 PM)

1 click "embed picture in post"
2 click on "click here to upload!"
3 click "browse" next to "select a file to upload"
4 find the image file and click "open"
5 click ok
6 make sure the "embed picture in post" box is still checked
7 click OK

OR, just

[img http://watchmojo.com/blogs/images/silky-anteater.jpg [/img

just add the "]" bracket to close after the "img"

LanceHughes -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 9:52:54 PM)

arrgh!  now I can't find it on internet again..... please post with missing bars ---- 2 questions... does it need http:\\ ?
I've "heard" that NO white space anywhere. True?

UniqueRaven -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 9:53:51 PM)

LanceHughes -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 9:57:52 PM)

LanceHughes -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 9:58:52 PM)

I've also heard yu can't have it underlined, but damned if I know how to turn off the auto-underline "feature"

UniqueRaven -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 9:59:12 PM)

[img]http://watchmojo.com/blogs/images/silky-anteater.jpg[/img]

Don't worry about the underline.

Are you posting in fast reply? i don't think it works in fast reply

i can't tell why else it isn't working for you.....

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 10:02:30 PM)

I think that BB code requires you smell out the word image

[image]websiteurlhere[/image]

or click reply and upload the picture being sure to click the embed image box .

UniqueRaven -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 10:03:11 PM)

it doesn't seem to be working for Lance either way. i use img and it's working for me.

[img]websiteurlhere[/img]

Lance, did you go back and edit the code? You may need to start with a "fresh" reply box, and put it all on one line.

heartcream -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 10:04:44 PM)

hmm this is the way I do it and it pretty much works. Get to place where the actual photo has the http in the (what is it called so embarrassed) line where it shows you what you page you are on now. Copy that.

Come to an open window here to post
[i m a g e]put the http address for the photo here, with no spaces and follow it with [/image]
Ought to be voila!

LanceHughes -> RE: Anteater test (2/23/2010 10:05:50 PM)

Are youse guys seeing the underline in your posting?  I can't seem to type the URL w/o getting the auto-underline.
