As someone who knows a lot more about explosives than he should, and recieved enough training to be dangerous, (father was ammo/ordinance inspector) that just scares the pure hell out of me. Same way the local cop kicks/pokes at a 'suspicious package' and it is obvious that they haven't the first clue as to what they're doing.
Kid's lucky to be alive with as much charge he put on that hammer. Concussion and undertow alone coulda easily collapsed a lung, nothing to say of blast debris. And pushing on a pressure sensitive primer/initiator/booster when taping it on while standing directly above the charge is just begging for trouble.
