strongnsubmissiv -> Threads getting yanked (9/11/2004 4:34:45 PM)

I was surprised to see that a thread i started was removed by the mods with no explanation at all. Funny. Afterall, wouldn't want to offend anyone who thinks that the whole concept of MoneyDommes is a viable lifestyle and nobody is being taken advantage of there.

Free speech be damned i suppose.

ps.. an explanation would be nice before yanking this thread too. :)

Calmyly, strongnsub, First, there are less than a dozen moderators, and a few thousands of us. Look at the number of posts put up hourly. It is their volunteering to be moderators that keeps us able to post at all. Now, there is a very simular post that they have not pulled called Domme or hooker I believe, or some simular name. Yes, you have a right to freedom of speech. But they also have an obligation to limit and redirect when they feel it is needed. Now, I understand your frustration with running into Prodoms when you are searching for a lifestyle dominants. We all have potholes in the way of reaching our goals. Relax, enjoy the boards and chat. Completely understood Sun... all i want to know is what is the criteria for limiting and redirecting?

I certainly don't have a problem with Pro Dommes at all, they perform a viable service. My problem is with opportunists such as i'd listed in my yanked post, of a woman posing as a Domme, merely looking for some chump to put her through school and lable it "bdsm".

Honestly, i'm calm and far from frustrated, i just wanted to give a heads up to those who are new to this lifestyle, and might find themselves sending these crooks money, thinking that somehow it'll help them feel fulfilled as a true male sub.

Then let me see if I can help you out a bit. The moderators normally do not post the reason for pulling a thread. They are very over worked, and not paid at all. But some criteria for having a thread pulled are (not in any order or reflecting on your particular post): referring to play with animals, play that involves terminating someones life, obvious flames, or posting anyones sn in a derogatory manner. I know there are more, but these are the top ones as far as I can tell. I believe you can access the TOS when you sign on. And if you are curious as to how others are responding to the pay to play, check out the Ask a Domme section. There are a number of threads there addressing this issue. Sundew

If you mentioned her screen name it would be pulled.

You might want to read the collarme Terms of Service. http://www.collarme.com/tos.asp

This isn't a question of free speech be damned, strongnsubmissiv. This is a question of generous individuals that donate and administer a little part of cyber space putting a lot on the line so that we may have a place to exchange and learn.

If this doesn’t suit your needs, you are always more then welcome to start your own similar network and develop your own terms of service.

I’m always surprised when I see people who think that the world owes them something.

Eh... whatever. If collarme.com finds nothing wrong with cyberDommes advertising for moneyslaves, then rules are rules and like you say LA, i certainly can go elsewhere. Clearly that wasn't my point to begin with. I just wanted to point out the danger that can come from answering such profiles to prospective fellow malesubs. But again... whatever.

The TOS is all about as clear as mud to me, as is thinking the world owes me something. *shrugs*

Dealth with and behind me.. i look forward to future posts in the forum
