Pilots show support for controller Glenn Duffy, who let his 2 kids direct traffic at Kennedy Airport http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/03/06/2010-03-06_pilots_high_on_controller_in_jfk_mess.html?r=news "Pilots are rallying behind the suspended Kennedy Airport air traffic controller, broadcasting messages of support to his colleagues. "Thoughts going out to your co-worker there," a Delta pilot departing Kennedy Airport said to a flight controller Thursday night, according to a recording captured on the Web site Liveatc.net. "I think it's BS what he's going through." Other pilots have come to the defense of Glenn Duffy in more subtle ways: They've been signing off with the word "adios." That's what Duffy's 9-year-old son ad-libbed from the JFK control tower to a couple of pilots after he gave them orders on Feb. 16. Duffy brought the boy's twin sister into work the next day and also allowed her to instruct pilots. The pilots seemed charmed by the instructions coming from the twins. But the incidents sparked the ire of the Federal Aviation Administration. The National Air Traffic Controllers Association also condemned Duffy's stunt." All i can say is thank God nobody died or was fired....lol.
