i find this especially amusing because sometimes i'm not even SURE i'm having an orgasm. it took me a long time to ever have anything close to what might be a "peak" and i'm still not sure i've quite got it yet...maybe they can scan me to see if it's really happening? ;)

most guys are so self absorbed its easy to fake with them. Plus if you moan really loud (like a porn star) they'll think they're Godlike.. heh.. like i said.. MOST.. i got rid of all those long time ago cos i couldnt stop laughing when i let my porn star moans...

Hello All,
I agree it's very common to find women who fake orgasm. Often it is due to the fact I think the contact, intimacy and journey during a sexual event is enough for women on it's own. It's often the close contact, not the orgasm that matters to a woman most. Lots of women do not need to have an orgasm for her to have had a wonderfully hot encounter.or to consider their screwing a success.
Men in general on the other hand have this big insecurity that if a girl they screw does not orgasm it's a failure or problem that needs to be addressed. They also feel if they don't get off they have failed their lover in some way. Overall the orgasm seems to be a much bigger obsession for men in general than for women.
This puts a lot of pressure on us girls.
I think most women who feel they need to fake it are doing it because the they feel the man needs to have that happen to feel secure & confident in his abilities.
In all it's just one of the masks people use to keep the peace because being real is too much effort for them or it's too scary to expose their real selves.

OK...so maybe I'm weird. I have never faked an orgasm in my life, nor have I ever even considered trying to. I guess I don't even really understand how it is done. I mean there are things that happen during an orgasm that I don't understand how anyone can fake. The vaginal spasms...the wetness. I mean, if those things are missing then how is it that a man would not know? Are they really that self absorbed? Feeling grateful at this moment for having always had wonderful, easy to achieve orgasms and men who cared enough to make it happen!!!!!!!

edited to add....for those who do fake it...why would you want to do this?...I would think you would want your partner to know that you are not done yet!

Because men usually don't know when they happen- the spasms (which can be mimicked, kegels?). And wetness does not necessarily increase during orgasm (certainly not for me).

And yes, they really are that self-absorbed. Granted the women are not doing anyone any favors by faking- they are sacrificing immediate ego bursting for long term honesty, communication and sexual fulfillment. But the pressure can be pretty high. I did a scene a few months ago with some friends who had a sybian. He wanted to put me on it and I said "No problem as long as there's no pressure to orgasm." He agreed. Five minutes after being on it, he starts trying to guide me to an orgasm, telling me to focus on the feelings, blah blah blah. THEN he suggests that it's all in my mind and that I can orgasm if I just let go of the idea that I can't! I told him we needed to end it shortly after.

Most men under 40 are too self absorbed, lazy, and inexperienced to really perform well and be able to focus on the other person's orgasm. However, I put a chunk of responsibility on their former and current partners for not teaching them, or letting them feel that this behavior is acceptable.

-because it's not always about 'getting done' and getting off
-because sometimes it's more about intimacy with the other person

-because if your partner is focused mostly on getting you off that ruins the mood and the emotional connection and getting off isn't important anymore
-because if the main goal is to get off that's something I can do for myself, by myself

I dated a guy once who was *so* focused on getting me to orgasm that it quickly became a real chore and I started to cringe at the thought of being intimate with him. Needless to say, that didn't last long. Sex should be fun, not an obligation to get off so his ego won't crumble.

I've faked it a couple times but never because I wanted the sex to be over it's just that he really made me happy and I could tell he wanted to keep making me happy.. I was enjoying myself quite well.. :) And although I agree with Suzanne I don't need to have an orgasm every time.. but no way would I enjoy sex as much with out it.

I'm probably in the minority here, but sex is not that important with some exceptions.. Reaching orgasm is even less important for me.. What i do love is watching a woman's reactions and understanding when she is being pleased on a sexual level.. There is a great deal of personal enjoyment when I can bring a female to the point where she looses control and is like putty in my hands and begs.. I make no secret in that.. regarding male orgasms, there is no reasoin for me to fake it, I can orgasm internally easily as any competent mage worker can do.... The pschology is simple folks... I bend over backwards to please a woman who is speciall to me.. Want to bet she won't want to reciprocate????

Oh hell, if she won't come just use the bitch and be done with it. Think of it as "primer sex" - priming her for more later, or even in a few minutes if she's good. I love how the guy in the article stated that "women can imitate orgasm quite well"... lol yep he would know...

And I am really good at faking... I can do the leg shakes and everything. And all you really have to do is flex the vaginal muscles (yeah I feel gross saying that), like just do it a lot and don't make too much noise... you have to have a moment where you you suck in your breath.
