PeonForHer and VaguelyCurious; You both replied one after the other so I'll put everything together. I'm well aware VC can't be bullied. :-) About the Interent, yeah... sometimes it's hard to tell what people are about underneath their posts. I'll admit, Domi defines the word "enigma" and I think he likes it that way. I tend to enjoy people who are at least occasionally graceful. Vulgarity has its place and can certainly be used to convey passion. But gee... when every post is an attack, a one-upmanship, a "look at me, look at me" cry for attention... as I said, it gets a bit old. I do enjoy Domi's posts from time-to-time though... you know, when he's not being entirely offensive. Just to comment on Peon's earlier post... quote:
PeonForHer" You know how Dommes complain that they get hundreds of men per week writing one-liners? Well, imagine hundreds of women writing to you, per week, with their two-thousand-liners - each wanting to discuss the very depths of emotions, searching for your subtlest feelings on this or that subject (that subject being mostly them, natch), asking in so many different ways 'how do you see this relationship developing?' That would be downright horrific. However, it wouldn't happen because the above is based on a stereotyped view of women and bears no resemblance to reality. I'm glad you added the second paragraph. Exactly. I've had women write one-liners, long emails conveying very personal emotions, short and to the point "hey, I'm looking for someone to play with... would you be interested" and everything in between. Every person is unique and the more I learn about and experience the genders, I find very few stereotypes actually apply. There are certain stereotypes I think people like to identify with because it lends them structure. Nothing wrong with that. But, I think very few of the notions "men always do this and think this way" and "women always do that and think this other way" are true. Cheers to you both, :-) Elan.
