Obama cancled his trip....

Is he staying to celebrate or fight?

I can't help but keep asking myself, if this bill is so spot on, why wasn't it easily passed a long time ago?

And I'm not buying this crap that it's the Republicans that are obstructing this bill. Frankly I'm not sure the Republicans have the political enfluence or power to pull themselves out of their own way.

Sanity -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 2:40:28 PM)

He's afraid the rioters might non allow him back into the country if Obamacare passes...

slvemike4u -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 2:45:01 PM)

Yeah,thats it sanity...rioters...lol

willbeurdaddy -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 2:45:20 PM)

He has admitted that passage of HC is critical to his Presidency and his legacy. What he fails to the recognize is that any victory will be Pyrrhic at best. The Dems are so clearly ignoring the voting public in both policy and process that he's toast regardless of the outcome.

Sanity -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 2:47:49 PM)

Or, maybe it was the rioters in Jakarta, who were burning him in effigy that changed his mind about going...

I guess he wont be going to Israel soon either.

Moonhead -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 2:51:18 PM)

Whyever not? I'm sure the IDF can keep any stroppy citizens in hand with their usual careful regard for civil rights and avoidance of excessive force.

Poll after poll shows the public supports health care reform overall.

What they don't support is the lies they have been led to believe.

But it's a good thing thing the Dems finally decided against those death panels, huh?

xBullx -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 2:53:51 PM)

Well maybe it's for the best, he'd save us a bunch of money by taking stacations like the rest of us have too.

servantforuse -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 3:36:56 PM)

He is trying to find out what is in the bill. His interview with Brett Baer yesterday made it very clear that he doesn't know himself what is in a bill he wants so badly to sign.

I dont believe that for a minute. He knows precisely whats in it, he even slipped and called it "my healthcare proposal". The problem is he has to lie about what is in it for it to have any chance of passage.

You can remember how last year's tax return broke down without having a look at your copy of it, then?

I have no clue what youre referring to.

xBullx -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 4:01:25 PM)

Wow, now that's an interesting analogy.

Well on my behalf I'd have to say that, yes, I do recall the overall substance of my filings. I use it to assist me in how I legislate my business spending and planning.Though I suspect I'd be a bit foggy on the itemized details; but that filing was a year ago, not within the last month.

I guess my point is, that when it's my job I do my best to know what's in front of me.

Lucylastic -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 4:02:55 PM)

Repubs are already saying they will repeal the healthcare asap, Im not surprised the MAN isnt going anywhere, I wouldnt trust that shower of shite to do everything they can to stop it....if the last year has anything to go by, ..

Is that what he means? Remembering the details of my own tax return? Damn right I do. And not only didnt I look at in the last month, I didnt drone on about it 6 hours a day for the last 3 months.

Your assumption that he can reiterate the whole of a 200 page document he probably hasn't seen for a couple of drafts from memory, but is choosing not to.
I hope you're not one of the neocons on here who was pissing and moaning about the Kenyan using an autocue instead of memorising his speeches as well.

Moonhead -> RE: No trip..... (3/18/2010 4:05:23 PM)

It's not a very good analogy: just the first document that he'd probably need to double check the content of that he filled out at around the same time as all the pissing and moaning about this healthcare bill first started.

I chose the word interesting for a reason.
