Please, please PLEASE read my most recent journal entry! It covers this type of play and what can happen and how to avoid it.

IMHO, 1 and 1/2 mins is way too long.  Do read what Jay Wiseman has to say. Yes, I do it, so it's not a case of holier than thou, but for a fraction of the time you are talking about.

I'd ask a friend of mine, Andrew, what he reckons is the safe limit but unfortunately I do not possess the skills of a medium. He'd know, having over-stepped the safety mark and died as a result.[sm=river.gif] Let's not have another needless asphxyiation related death.

I passed out from this myself, that was bloody scary, and there is simply NO SAFE WAY TO DO IT. Some people have died at the click of a finger. If you can pass out, you can die. It can be instantaneous.

Recently I'm finding that intense stimulation of the neck, friction, a blade, just a hand laid on my throat all night can be pretty arousing instead.

All the same I completely understand your decision to continue. Some things just work.

We also decided to stop when we found out that cutting off the bloodflow could cause a clot elsewhere in the body and kill you suddenly several hours after the incident of passing out and seemingly recovering.  We have gotten to a point that just the psychological implications of his hands exerting the slightest pressure on my neck is enough to send me over the edge.  We honor our life together, and don't wish to lose it from an avoidable accident.
