What penalty would you prefer?

Thats not what i asked. You are complaining about having to pay for this insurance.. and about the potential for taxes or jail if you dont.

What penalty do you prefer?

And who pays???????  Your answer is go to the E/E while just about every medical group says that is not the way to get health care and you only get treated to you are stable, then if you can not pay you are out the door

When we get there- it might be to my advantage to surrender my US citizenship.

It is all I can do - to have a roof over my head.

Well you  been tricked.

There is no change to the bankruptcy rules.

The insurance companies are insolvent.

there should be NO penalty.

PA and 13 other states are suing over this.  You can find the PDF  --> here.

I dont give a damn what 13 other states think. Its obvious you cannot think for yourself, or give a response worth shit.

I think the federal government is too intrusive.  There should be no penalty, what so ever- in any way shape of form- for not having health insurance.

The regulation is a scam.

It over reaches the authority of the federal government and is not constitutional.

I also think that monetary penalties are especially burdensome- because our dollar is an instrument of debt.

However I arrived at this thought - is not the point- it is my thoughts on this matter.

Yet we should penalize everything across the board... hospitals, Drs insurance companies, ect... but dont have any expectations that what the american people have been screaming about.. namely accessability to health care and the non-denial of coverage due to pre-existing conditions or hidden conditions. Im sorry, as liberal as i may seem, you cant do this. you cannot penalize one half of the equation without the expectation of the other half to hold up to their end. in other words, if the government is listening to the people and demanding coporations to comply, then we the people have to own up to our end of this complaint and obtain for ourselves insurance. if we dont, then a penalty must be accessed. if one isnt, then the point of accessing fines against a corporation is one sided and on the whole completely unfair.
