I would be happy if Texas would leave the Union, taking all territory that was part of the Republic of Texas when it joined the Union, and of course deporting the Bush family since they are from Massachusetts.

Of course I also believe that Wales should be an independent country, along with Scotland, Northern Ireland should be part of Ireland AND the Stuart family should be restored to the throne of England.

Judging by the amount of threads running on the front page of this forum, that are about the politics in the US, I just have to ask of our American cousins;

Are you Happy ?

I believe that happiness is a choice,
choosing to cherish and embrace those delightful, breath taking, life is good moments.
Yes I am happy.

From my readings on the subject of "happiness," the leading cause of unhappiness (ranking up there with deaths and divorce if not ahead of them) is job loss.

No matter what my challenges have been, our household has remained employed and above water -- for which I feel very blessed.

The only thing that rattled my cage this week was reading how the US now currently sports a $650B yearly defense budget. I would say the ROI on that is highly negative and that the opportunity costs are mind boggling. Much to my dismay, this remains a non issue. BALTO is cutting is police and fire departments, unemployment is at about 10% nationally, yet we are still engaged in two endless wars while arming ourselves to the teeth.
