First, you need to understand that the terms 'sadistic' and 'submissive' are not opposites.

Second, you need to understand that there is a difference between theory and fact. How serotonin effects you is one thing. How it effects another could be quite different. Very much like in cases of folks with ADHD. The medications that can be prescribed to those with the condition slow them down and make them more collected, where someone who doesn't have that condition would be sped up and be more scattered.

Now I have heard everything. Serotonin (is that the correct spelling?) does not make a dominant! Nor does the lack of it make a submissive! Dude... you really are barking up the wrong tree.

I have seriously low serotonin, am not depressed, am not submissive and I have my own personal experience to go on. If your way is correct, then every submissive would be depressed, not sleeping right and would be a dominant out of whack in serotonin levels. Healthy, we would all be dominant!

And I don't have to hate you to disagree with you... and I do disagree with you.
Low serotonin does not mean depression. I have low serotonin but I'm not depressed. I am very motivated.
Also, you mixed up what I said. Low serotonin = Sadistic, High serotonin = Submissive

Well whatever... serotonin has nothing to do with being dominant or submissive. And if I were you, I would worry more about that paranoid sadist part than whether you were submissive or dominant based on serotonin.

The lack of it makes someone sadistic. Lots of it makes someone submissive. The severe lack of it makes someone antisocial.

Well, hell's bell's you just cured many things in mental health! I want to know you!

So in your professional opinion, the chief difference between Masoch and the Marquis de Sade was that the former probably had an extra glass of orange juice every day? Wow, Deleuze sure wasted a lot of time and syllables with Coldness and Cruelty.

Edit: That should have been a reply to the OP, not to Lockit. Still learning my way around the boards.

Daddy has low serotonin, in fact he needs an serotonin up take re inhibitor type drug for his depression, which due to no health care he can't afford, and Daddy is not a sadist. He wasn't even a Sadist even on medication. He thinks inflicting pain on people is wrong, and generally is reluctant to do so.

I am sure you could go around testing girls and seeing how they react, but I don't know if it'll yield any results you want.

Serotonin is usually the basis of sadistic or masochistic.

Low serotonin = Sadistic

High serotonin = Submissive

What are some stereotypes? Are there ways to test girls like being bossy and seeing their reaction? Any other testing methods? How common are submissive girls?

I would suggest you offer some kind of medical proof...I have a hard time taking the word of an 18 year old on this.

Proof please

Low serotonin = Sadistic

Explain why you assume this to be true

High serotonin = Submissive

Explain why you assume this to be true

What are some stereotypes?

Stereotypes of what?

Are there ways to test girls like being bossy and seeing their reaction?

Sure...let us know how that goes.

Any other testing methods?

For what?

How common are submissive girls?

Where? In high school?

Huh?

Do you have empirical evidence to back this up?

Girls usually react to how you are. Not the acts you put up as a front.

What do you mean? How you act is how you are.

I tried an anti-depressant once and I was submissive. That's basically increased serotonin. But I have low serotonin and I am sadistic. How do I know? I have social anxiety and paranoia. I care about stuff being perfect and even a lot. I love the dark. I am agoraphobic. Etc.

First off... What is your definition of submissive? I think you're mistaking feeling passive for being submissive... I am submissive but no one would ever describe me as passive.

The use of anti depressants is at best an inexact science...with different meds effecting people differently. The med that makes you passive could make me suicidal...treatment with antidepressants is trial and error.

If the medical community still has such little knowledge re: Seratonin levels and their effects.. I fail to see how you can come to these conclusions.

Yeah

There are more submissive people than dominant people -- so more "girls" are submissive than dominant, both in high school and across the board.

I expect the percentage of subs in the US population to climb sharply over the next ten years, because of economic problems. People tend to be more tentative, and look for leadership, when they are not confident about situations. One of the consequences of long-term unemployment and underemployment will be men's inability to pay for dates the way they would like to, and the way they (and women) are used to. Conventional rules of courtship will be even more confused than they already are. The ability to be confident in situations, and to have power over situations, will be even more attractive than they are now.

It's the sexual version of the old saying that a depression is a great time to have money.

Hahaha, I like how you italicized people. I'm a fair, good person. I just want to treat a girl like my pet and humiliate her. I want a girl with the personality I had when I took that anti-depressant.

I'm in living hell. I searched the whole internet. Nobody else is hypersexual during march and september. I don't even know what changes in my brain during this time. My heart beats as fast as fuck during those periods of time. When I feel emotion relating to sex, I get a bad feeling in my stomach...it tortures me. Deep down, I don't even want to have sex...but I have to.

I suggest that you go see your doctor and tell him what you just said. The answers you need are not found here.

Im amazed you cant find someone. I would think they would be beating down the door to be in a relationship with a paranoid sadist with depressive disorder whos afraid to leave the house!

Bullshit.

You don't 'have to' have sex. The fact is that you are obsessed with humiliating someone for sexual pleasure and because you are not realizing that opportunity, you are focusing on it more and more. This is the very cycle of obsession. If you were having sex (especially the kind you wanted) you honestly wouldn't have it taking up so much of your time mentally.

ParanoidSadist -> RE: Submissive Stereotypes? (3/31/2010 5:11:07 PM)

Pshhhh yeah I talked to a doctor and he said I need to find a hobby. I'm a smart guy and have many hobbies but sex distracts me too much so. I might be the one with a natural order. March and September, 6 months apart. Sexy time! You know what, natural sounds great. I don't think I'm gonna change a thing, I'll just find a nice girl and make her happy.

People keep mixing up the stuff. If you eat a lot of chocolate, you will feel submissive, not dominant.

Hahaha, you are wrong on so many levels. I am not depressed. I am sexy. I am fine in public.

Okay I'm done with this thread. Bye!~

Interesting i have never heard this. What is the title of the medical journal you read it in? I would like to read it as well.

As for testing girls what is that? What are you testing them for? I was never tested maaste saw what he wanted(me) and went for it no testing required.

Matt's littleone

BTW Don't believe everything you read on the net
