Tight fitting anything is ouchy and uncomfortable. If you want the overfull look you can always look into a bra that fits but is designed to accentuate cleavage like a Wonderbra, or add pads inside the bra that push the breasts up.

an interesting study was done showing a possible correlation between wearing a bra and an increased risk of breast cancer.

Drs. Singer and Grismaijer studied 4,500 women in five cities across the U.S. about their bra wearing habits and later published their findings in a book "Dressed to Kill". Though the study did not take into account other lifestyle factors, the results are striking:

3 out of 4 women who wore their bras 24 hours per day developed breast cancer.

1 out of 7 women who wore bras more than 12 hour per day but not to bed developed breast cancer.

1 out of 152 women who wore their bras less than 12 hours per day got breast cancer.

1 out of 168 women who wore bras rarely or never acquired breast cancer.

About the possible correlation between constant bra-wearing and cancer:
Aren't women who are concerned about their appearance (namely, sagging) more likely to wear a bra religiously? Isn't that concern likely to manifest itself in other ways too, and give that woman more cause for stress - especially since our society puts so much importance on aesthetics? And hasn't cancer been strongly linked to stress?
Or if the restriction really is the issue, are men who wear whitey-tighties and such more likely to develop testicular cancer as well?

Or if the restriction really is the issue, are men who wear whitey-tighties and such more likely to develop testicular cancer as well?

Professor John Dickinson, of the Wolfson Institute of Preventative Medicine in London, has just published research arguing that tight clothes may provide the force required to drive endometrial cells from the womb to accumulate at the ovaries.

"This would help explain why there was an awful lot of chronic abdominal pain in upper-class ladies of the Victorian age, who were restricting themselves like mad," says Dickinson, a former senior professor at Bart's hospital in London. His hunch is supported by the fact that the condition seems not to exist in countries where loose clothing is the norm. "Almost all women in India wear saris and have no cosmetic need for restricting garments," he writes in the latest edition of the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. "It would appear that researchers working in India or central Africa have little experience of endometriosis."

For men, tight underpants - like hot baths and showers - have long been thought to contribute to both infertility and testicular cancer. Since the testes are located in the scrotum to keep them cool, the hypothesis runs, artificial heating may cause similar problems to those that arise when the testes do not descend fully - a condition associated with increased incidences of testicular cancer.

Yup - I do my part to 'support' good breast health and offer my services to any and all! (lol)

Breast 'freedom' is another one of beth's advocacy issues! I think I can count on my fingers how many times beth has worn a bra in the 7 years we've been together, and in those cases the bra was a function of style more than support. she does sometimes put on a 'sports bra' but again - it's rare and not long term. This is one of the many issues of compatibility we share; she didn't like to wear a bra, and I didn't want her to wear one. Of course, if I were a 'true master' since she preferred not to wear one - I should have insisted?!

I don't know about the cancer issues and I am not likely to worry about them. All I know is there is NO WAY I am walking around without a bra. It is so uncomfortable. The girls have GOT to be contained.

It must be great to have boobs so small this is even a consideration.  And yeah - the four-boob effect...not so much.

But if you're looking for attractive and the feeling like they're on-display, go for a demi cup, most definitely.  However, depending on her size it may be difficult to find.  For those trying to fit themselves or others into pretty bras with more difficult-to-find sizes, try bravissimo.com.

A smaller bra than what any female has as bewbage? O no, not this chickie. I've got enough problems dealing with what I have without seriously causing
a) black eyes if I even try to do more than walk

b) giving anyone around me more than they should have to "see"

c) I worked for a leading bra manufacturer and found out the right size is so much more comfortable, especially when it comes to underwire. No more "eyes crossed" or quadra-boob. No such thing as "release the hounds" when I'm not at home.

Provided they sell your size. I can't shop there, since I am a 50 C and they don't carry my size, but yes, any good store that sells bra's will fit a woman for their correct size.

Wearing bras that are too small are very uncomfortable and not very attractive. Take her to Victoria's Secret. They will be very happy to fit her with the proper size.

Victoria's Secret tried to cram my H cups into a DD. Lane Bryant tried to cram my H cups into a DD. I didn't find out my real size till my reduction consult. And the last time I was at Vicky S's they tried to tell me my D cups were Bs.

My best advice is to educate yourself on how a bra is supposed to fit and ignore the saleswomen. But then again... I've had very bad experiences with them.

if anything....i would suggest corsets. It will create a nice lift w/o the quadboob effect. I think you could find some hot properly fitted corsets to go with many different pretty garments. There is just something so hot about a good corset

I go to Irene's fashions at large, and I get very good service there, but yeah not all places are very good at fitting you properly.   I used to try to buy a bra from Catherines, and man I tell you their 48 DDD's were to small and tight but anything else was to big and they couldn't really be of any help.

Hi

Are any of the females here required to wear bras smaller than their natural cup size?

I'd love to hear about the practicalities, the effect, and whether or not a slightly smaller bra will contain a c-cup or high chest (even if uncomfortably) throughout the day without popping out.

Thanks

I was discussing bras with a vanilla friend just last week. She has no concept of my D/s persuasions so I got a good laugh out of her with my own perspective of bras.

I told her that, depending on the occasion, I generally don't like to see "free range" boobs bouncing all about on my girl.... That I much prefer them neatly and securely packed away until the next time I need them - like all my sex toys.

In general to this topic, I leave bra size up to the girl - she's the expert. Whatever is comfortable and practical. I don't like those half-size push-up bras 'cause they look awful when I'm having her strip down - so they're banned.

And since I'm currently all alone, I'll shock you all by saying that, given a choice, this big bad Dom much prefers small and petite to the double D's in the Uber-Dom's handbook.

Focus.

Victoria's Secrets is a joke. The sales people haven't a CLUE how to size for a bra. They got my sister wearing one that was too large and tried to cram me into one too small. Their size range is quite limited. I am a 36..... and their 36 only went to a D cup, which is wayyyyy too small. So they thought they could sell me a 38 D, which then rode up in the back and still didn't contain the girls properly. I have bought better fitting bras at Walmart for crying out loud. And that is not exactly the mecca of fabulous undie shopping.
