Most of the movies I truly enjoy would probably be considered by most to be "guilty" pleasures but I'm proud of lovin' 'em. 1970's era grindhouse and cult films really float my boat. The worse, the better[;)]

Movies that I really feel the most "guilty" about loving are lighthearted, goofy ones or formulaic romances. Top examples:
*Pretty Woman
*Legally Blonde
*The Notebook

Elle Woods is wonderful!

Has anyone mentioned Attack of the Killer Tomatoes yet?

blueeyedbbwsub -> RE: Your favorite silly/guilty pleasure movie? (4/18/2010 9:11:46 AM)

I'd forgotten about the Killer Tomatoes, haven't seen it in ages. They're not movies, but I love Fawlty Towers, Keeping Up Appearances (Hyacinth Bucket...pronounced bouquet, she's just a hoot)....riiCHAAAAHD) and of course Are You Being Served.

The Princess Bride.

Moonhead -> RE: Your favorite silly/guilty pleasure movie? (4/18/2010 9:26:22 AM)

Nothing silly or guilty about that one.
A couple I've seen recently and was very taken with are The Mumbo Jumbo (very silly fairytale type story full of British character actors, and with Brian Blessed as the bad guy) and Bloodbath At The House Of Death (a horror spoof by the late Kenny Everett with some very good send ups of horror films in it...)
