Right, that was the ancient Egyptian reason for circumcision. The Biblical  reference for circumcision comes from Genesis. God told Abraham to circumsize HIMSELF, his household and his slaves, as an " everlasting covenant in the flesh ". Not a thing al all to do with be marked as a slave.
 
For the record, circumcision dates back to Hadrian.
