I think it would be really cool to surprise a sub or slave with a collar engraved with their name or "property of so-and-so". This would make a great reward for outstanding behavior or to signify when they are owned rather than being under consideration. I've looked online but I haven't found a site that makes such a thing. You guys know where to look?

Or, you could just use an engravable charm that you add to a chain or collar.

Depending on the collar and engraving to go on it that could be a bit embarrassing...

You can go to Petsmart or any pet store and get an automated tag engraved.  I did that for one of my subbies. Best 3 bucks I ever spent!

A collar that says "Property of" shouldn't be embarrassing at all.  You could be getting it for your dog.  You could be trying to impress a g/f or b/f.  It could be a gag gift.  The engraver really doesn't care what your motives are.

I got one of these from my Dom, it's even in the shape of a little heart. Pretty awesome. Since a machine engraves it you can rest assured that no one will ever see what you want to put on it.

Depends on the collar I guess
Most of the ones I have are very obviously not for a dog or cat...

Then just buy your own engraving tool... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000302YN/ref=nosim/dremeltools-20

and save yourself from any hassle or embarrassment.

Sorry for the late response, I just read the post ... I own a laser engraving company that would very happy to make you such a collar . With a laser I can add a name or a very detailed design right on the leather . I can make a matching pair of cuffs if you like, also personalized. If you would like to see how a laser works on leather please go to www.Daveengraves.com .
Thank you
Dave

I've seen some really beautiful engraving done with a dremel but it's not the sort of thing that most people could do.
