BrutalAntipathy -> RE: Turn it UP !!!!!! (4/3/2006 6:09:19 PM)

Harvester of Sorrow by Metallica is on top of my current playlist, followed by Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry, Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones, In the Evening by Led Zeppelin, Coming Undone by Korn, ME262 by Blue Oyster Cult, and Whatever by Godsmack.

Arpig -> RE: Turn it UP !!!!!! (4/3/2006 6:09:39 PM)

The ultimate speaker-buster song for me....Careful with that Axe Eugene, or Nile song...simply cannot listen to either quietly

KatyLied -> RE: Turn it UP !!!!!! (4/3/2006 6:10:47 PM)

The Rolling Stones "Monkey Man"

Arpig -> RE: Turn it UP !!!!!! (4/3/2006 6:17:18 PM)

good one..katy, that one needs volume as well...on the original Let It Bleed album there was a little note stating that the album had been recorded & mixed specifically to be played really loud..it was worded rather amusinglt, but damned if I can remember it.

Changes from day to day ... but right now?

I Got My Mojo Working - Muddy Waters

That is a great song.
I'm somewhat pissed that itunes doesn't have a single husker du song available.
Are they still a band?  I loved them in the eighties.
New Day Rising!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suicidal Tendencies was just wild too....crank it!

Huge Suicyco fan here.........."Lights, Camera, Revolution" was a damn fine album.

I am not listening to any music at the moment.

I think my #1 loud music song is Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider.

Some others that come to mind:  Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne, Black Dog by Led Zeppelin, Walking the Dog and Toys in the Attic by Aerosmith, The Ecology Song by Marvin Gaye,Back in Black by AC/DC, Master of Puppets by Metallica, Proud Mary by Tina Turner and Ride a Horse, Save a Cowboy (sorry, name of group escapes me), Everybody Dance Now by C&C Music Factory (I think)

Terrific songs, even the Big and Rich one lol.

ummmm yeah! *grins*............I'm saddened by a lot of the new music.......I loved the 70s.....and the late 80s/early 90s...........maybe another upswing will come our way.

MasterG2kTR -> RE: Turn it UP !!!!!! (4/3/2006 6:45:19 PM)

currently: Nirvana - All apologies
favorite to crank up: Black Sabbath - NIB ("Nativity In Black" for those of you who don't know what it means)

for Level.....yes the late 60's early 70's and mid 80's to mid 90's were awesome eras in rock music....but there is also plenty of new music that is good too....Audioslave, Jet, Nickelback, and Shinedown to name a few

Lately I've been into Posters by Dada, my local partner says its my song:

album: Puzzle (1992)

She was seventeen going on fifty
I´m not quite sure exactly what that means
But her speakers screamed Sinatra and the Zombies
Her hair hung red around her ripped blue jeans

She said she was Jim Morrison incarnate
A psychic on La Brea told her so
She asked me if I ever read Lolita
She took my hand and lead me to her door

And she said....
Let's go to my room
I'll show you my posters
Let's go to my room
I'll show you I'm al lover

She locked the door behind me she lit a candle
Then blew it out said the moon would do just fine
The lizard king and T. Rex for wall paper
Above her bed hung a No-Parking sign

She asked me if I liked her decorator
As she stripped behind a wall of raining beads
I woke up with her pillow and her diary
She took her bath as I began to read

And she said...
Let's go to my room
I'll show you my posters
Let's go to my room
I'll show you I'm a lover

Hurray for NIB! Classic tunage indeed!

JazzDaddy -> RE: Turn it UP !!!!!! (4/3/2006 7:14:13 PM)

I mainly skip between the 70's and 80's.

I just listened to:

Stevie Wonder - I Wish
Commodores - Brick House
Parliament - Flashlight
Kool and the Gang - Jungle Boogie

Earlier, I was in an 80's mood:

Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough
New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
Human League - Fascination
Madness - One Step Beyond

hmm..........good bands, yes. Some great singles are being put out as well......I just can't get it out of my head, going into a record store and leaving with 4 or 5 cds, and finding all of them to be incredible.....seemed every week a new Guns N Roses, Ministry, Megadeth, Pearl Jam, Pantera, etc etc was coming out....and you could turn on "Headbangers Ball" and find even more bands to check out, like Kyuss or Stone Temple Pilots.......and hey, if you haven't already, check out Secret Machines, Dredg, Drive-By Truckers, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club......good newer bands all........

And for primo Sabbath, "Volume 4" is hard to beat, too *grins*
