The Designing Women crew won an emmy for hair and make up. I remember when she accepted the award, she said something like:

On a show where we have talked about interracial dating, HIV and AIDS, domestic violence, and rape, we are so glad to know that you like how we look.

She was a strong and sassy woman. Thank you for all you taught us,

I just saw this on MSN and am very sad. Dixie Carter's character Julia Sugarbaker was a hero of mine. I sometimes put links to Designing Women on here because I have no other way to express what I'm trying to say and how to say it. Julia always could. I love to say that I'm a mixture of the Sugarbaker sisters, with a strong leaning towards Julia.

On that note, if you have a uterus, or care about the health of someone else's:

The Papanicolaou (Pap) test, used successfully for screening for cervical cancer, is too insensitive to be used as a screening technique for the detection of endometrial cancer, although occasionally the Pap test may fortuitously identify endometrial abnormalities, such as endometrial cancer.

Do you know what the episodes were called when Reese had his heart attack then the other episode where he dies?
Dixie Carter really showed her serious acting & was spectacular in these[&o]
