Romney? The man who expanded healthcare in Mass? Nah. He is augered in for the millenium fucked, they are gonna have to hide him like a bastard stepchild.

Pawlenty is too fucking stooooooooooopid as is Jindal. (I will not place palin this high in the catagory).

Short as everones collective memory is, maybe Gingrich can make a phone it in stab, but someone will come out of their coma before the methane reaches dangerous concentrations.

It just don't look pretty. One picture in the paper of one guy hugging Bushes nuts, and it is all over for that candidate, you would think.

Ron

Does anyone in this site seriously believe that Obama will be elected to a second term?

What kind of odds you talking about?
What kind of money are you talking about ?

I would like a president who can stand up straight, especially when meeting with dictators and tyrants.

OTHER dictators and tyrants.

I think they ought to run their standard bearer...
Lets hear it for Rush.

The real problem here is that candidates are no longer chosen on merit.

They are packaged and sold like Hollywood stars.

Or laundry detergent

I'm not sure that caribou Barbie has no chance. The Republican heartlands seem to love her the way Michael Jackson loved young boys. The best hope is that the teabaggers get their shit together as a serious political party instead of a bunch of whining idiots and put her up as a candidate to split the neocon vote. Ralph Nader did nearly as much to help Bush win the 2000 election as Al Gore, didn't he?

And Perot did the same favor for Clinton.

I just don't see the Republican Party taking Palin seriously, except for the teabaggers.
So, yes that's a likely scenario.  They might not form their own party but they are already splitting the Republican congressional primaries by endorsing their own candidates.

Had I been asked that question I would have said John Adams was the last "unpackaged" president.
Which is pretty much the same as your answer.
I wonder if it is possible for us to trade in partisan for patriotism?

What a bizarre concept voting for someone you want for the office.

Not as long as we are ruminating using a bow to fist an iron hydrant as meaningful in a larger sense.

Not until there can be an agreement on what patriotism is.

I would settle for a Statesman

More importantly why did you start the same thread as FatDomSaniddy did...Isn't that against tos?

Maybe beause all of the bitching you did to the mods got it moved before he could see it???

The fact is... you would have NEVER allowed Bush 43 get away with bowing to the Chi-Coms without roasting him live on the boards.

And look.... you will not have to worry about President Obama disappointing you for much longer, he will only be cowtowing to the next Republican Congress for two years before he gets defeated by one of the largest margins in US History... if he even runs again.

I have noticed that for many people patriotism has to do with wearing a uniform and returning someone elses country to the stone age.
When asked to try a little patriotism at home their response is let them get a job and pay for it.
According to Linus "lifes greatest burden is being born with a great potential"
We as a country have such great potential...it is a shame we are afraid to utilize it" to promote the general welfare".

pahunkboy -> RE: A bow to iron-fisted tyrants (4/13/2010 2:54:56 PM)

Where can I buy my Clinton vote back?

Would you be interested in a little friendly wager?

You presume there will BE a 2012 erection.
