The profanity I use has nothing to do with helping or hindering the exercise of my control. Its just the best suited use for dirty language is when I am talking dirty... isnt that what its for? I dont need it, nor do I use it every time we play, but it certainly does enhance certain scenes. I am not going to drain the electricity of a scene because I am worried about having a foul mouth.

Sort of looking like all the "Real Dommes" don't need foul language. Not using course language is somewhat akin to not dropping back to "Kneel worm!" When I get heated or emotional, I try to use "Frell" instead of more conventional words. I find it amusing, it indicates that I'm a SciFi/Fantasy nut and a touch geeky. If boys understand the reference, they get Brownie points in my book. But if I get wound up, yeah, those words start to flow. Once upon a long time ago, I used to work for a female boss who's language would make a sailor blush. It was my dream job as the Art Director for an advertising agency. Her whirl wind, raging temper tantrums and appalling vocabulary were the main reasons that I left that position. When I turned in my resignation, she sat down and had a nice chat with me trying to get me to stay. But I explained that I couldn't work under the conditions created by her foul mouth. She said that I needed to grow a tougher skin and that everyone in the business spoke that way to get things done. That's when I decided that Advertising was not for me. When Sceneing, my favorite loves humiliation. I find it really difficult to call him a "fucking slut" with any conviction considering the fact that No Sex is HIS hard limit. doh How can I say "I'm going to fuck you like a cheap cunt" when he doesn't even like ass play. It just doesn't WORK!

I work in construction, I grew up in and around construction workers, guess what? I cuss and though I do try and keep it to a minimum that doesn't always happen. When I play with my sub, yep I curse and he loves it. In fact the dirtier I talk the hotter we both get so as long as we are enjoying it, we really don't give a fuck what others think. You don't want to hear cussing? Make it a limit and search for a Domme who doesn't cuss, its that easy. ~Lashra

I tend to think those who put vulgarity in their profiles are trying to play into the typical male fantasy where a dominant woman has to be bitchy and mean. When in reality that could not be farther from the truth anybody can put on a act and be a bitch but I truly superior woman commands the respect of their submissive imo.

If you use vulgarity for a purpose or a particular response...that is ok. I am not against that. The thing I was referring to is just plain sailor talk all the time... I just wanted to clear up my OP so there was no misunderstanding.

And to the OP, I don't believe my profile has swear words in it, and as a general rule of thumb I do not swear in every day conversation, though of course it does occasionally slip in. I am not big on dirty\nasty talk during a scene\sex but I have no compunction about calling my sub a dirty little slut or some such, if I feel the scene warrants it ... in other words, if it feels right I do it. And similar to MsStarlett I use 'other' words often frack it, fugger it, I will call someone a ferengi although admittedly that is usually a 'fucking ferengi' and my current favourite non swearer is thunder humper ... from one of my ferals xbox games.
