May I suggest you use a double boiler and melt them down first? ::chuckles::

Good idea! Might even work better than waxing them. LMAO.

Ahhhh the old "somone disagreed with me, so they can't be a real dom" theory.  Well, I suppose if you're switching to domme, i will just have to switch to sub, since I've been exposed as a fraud in front of everyone.

Which begs the question... does that make you a subprize and if so, will ya cum in a Cracker Jack box?

LMOA, Celeste. I'll share my crayons with you any day.Seriously, I know what this man posted on another thread, and that is one of the reasons I started THIS thread. If no one believe there ever really was an "old guard" then so be it. But historical facts prove them wrong.

That's when they can't take it. As I said, I never claimed to be "old guard". I'm not a gay WWII vet, but I do know those men defined themselves with "top and bottom" terms. I posted that link to SirPrize on another thread. I asked him exactly what he thought that Guy Baldwin meant by those very definittive measures even though Guy Baldwin never used the term "bdsm". Guess what? SirPrize had no answer...none.

You also haven't given him more than a few hours to respond.  Some people get offline to do things.

And don't presume lack of response equals much of anything.  I don't respond to certain people on the boards for lots of reasons.

What you're dealing with so far is actually fairly mundane, low-grade examples of cyber culture and discussion dynamics.  My advice would be to give yourself some distance between your feelings and the discussion- no matter what you do or say, someone's going to think that you suck.

EvilGeoff -> RE: Thinking about turning Domme (4/4/2006 10:19:05 PM)

*chuckles*

Why in the blue blazes would anyone want to waste their time, energy, creativity or life trying to "straighten things out around here"? ? ? ?  You would just have to start all over again with the next busload of the totally clueless, the astoundingly arrogant, the mindlessly horney, the staggeringly self-important.

The best, the ONLY  to keep your sanity on the boards is to speak your truth quietly, accept that not everyone will agree with you, that not everyone who disagrees with you is doing so for any kind of personal reason, and your thoughts, opinions, and feelings, once posted in a public forum, become fair game for any and everyone to share, gossip about, make fun of, support, ridicule, agree with, disagree with, hijack or wank off too.  Once you hit send, you know longer have any ownership rights beyond "Yeah, I wrote that, so...?"

Welcome to the Boards, wytchy!

And I'll save my thoughts, feelings, and opinions on the "old guard" of leather for another time and thread.  ;-)

Driver1961 -> RE: Thinking about turning Domme (4/5/2006 10:14:58 AM)

Be honest to thyself,  no matter what we say will not 'settle' nor 'alter ' you.  what is inside you is your's for the understanding.  Read definitions for switch, top. bottom, dom/me then make your own judgement.

TeeGO -> RE: Thinking about turning Domme (4/5/2006 1:55:17 PM)

Question?  How would becoming a FemDom help you set straight MaleDoms?  Why do the MaleDoms around here needing straightening?  If you wanted to become a FemDom to set straight malesubs, that would be different.

It was a joke I made out of sheer frustration. Ignore me. Most people do. [;)]

I think for some it is appealing to top from the bottom. On the same note I think you might make a good Domme. Only time will tell.

A big mouth is not essential for a Domme. I like being very quiet and making him listen.

Only based on some of the very serious inaccurate posts from so called "dominants" on this forum. That really goes against my nature, but again...based on some of the very inaccurate posts I keep seeing "pop up" from some dominants, this just might push me over the edge.

I don't generally like to "take control" but from what I've read tonight, someone other than self proclaimed male dominants needs to set some things straight here.

Nah, you don't have to be a Dom/me to know some people just need to be smacked upside the head and told "What are you thinking!!??"

;)

Emperor1956 -> RE: Thinking about turning Domme (4/5/2006 10:48:39 PM)

Hello all.  In no particular order, commenting on the thread:

1.  The hypnosis hype is just that....there is a very very very little bit of hypnotherapy in what some Dom/mes do with their subs.  Just like there is a vvvlb of operant conditioning, and arguably psychotherapy, etc.  BUT real hypnosis isn't at all what people are gushing over.  My submissive is in training as a psychotherapist/hypnotherapist and she can tell you all about it (as she has Me).  Simply put, its a fantasy.

2.  On the other hand, the "cum on command" thread is real.  I've been there.  BUT I will say that in many instances (including one's I've taken part in) the submissive is already quite aroused, and the "command" might just be the stimulus needed/desired to tip him/her over.  But I've also seen actually deeply conditioned submissives who cannot cum without the command, and do cum on command...often to their dismay.

3.  Oh, don't get Me started on Old Guard/Old Leather etc.  I will go on for hours, and froth at the mouth, and only a few stiff shots of good bourbon will calm Me down.  I've researched this a bit (come to Chicago and spend an afternoon at the Leather Archives & Museum...what a wonderful affirmation of WIIWD.  But I digress).   There are SOME old guard traditions in the leather world.  Ironically, they are out of the Gay (mostly male) leather clubs/cycle clubs -- a tradition antithetical to many on CollarMe who are very locked into heterosexual B/D/S/M.  But WIIWD today has virtually no antecedents in this Old Guard, and frankly I've yet to meet a hetero Dom/me or submissive who claims to be trained in "OLD GUARD" or "OLD LEATHER" who really knows what they are talking about.  Its a myth as applied.

Thanks for letting Me vent a bit.

E.

And it doesn't mean a damn thing anywhere outside of the USA, anyway.
