I once applied some hot pepper to my penis and it burned pretty bad. So I got an idea now that I look back at it. Hot peppers are painful but I've never seen them used in BDSM. I'm not sure if they hurt when applied to nipples, but I'm sure they hurt when applied to the eyes, mouth, and genitalia. It sounds pretty hot to me. Hehe, get it? Hot? That wasn't intended actually.

Hot peppers can actually really hurt your eyes and even blind you.  Don't screw with 'em.  Peppermint oil is great for that, though, and most pharmacies sell it for about two bucks.

Blind permanently? I don't think so. I remember looking at a certain eye-health product with capsicum (hot pepper extract) in it, probably to build resistance against inflammation.

I have tasted peppermint oil. It didn't taste very strong. It would work better to use pure menthol (peppermint extract).

Peppermint oil on the skin does weird things and really stings and burns after awhile when used on the genitals.  x3

I put some on my foreskin but it's too mild for bdsm. Your peppermint oil might of been stronger though. Breathe spray works and it's pretty strong, trust me. It can also be used as a weapon by spraying it in someone's eyes. Pepper spray wouldn't be allowed in some areas, but breathe spray would, since people think it's just for your breathe.

So if a sub's blindfold is missing, just grab some pepper or peppermint spray and blind the sub with it. Mwahahahaha!

the ranking is toothpaste, vapo rub, cinnamon or peppermint oil, peeled fresh ginger, icyhot etc., capsaisin cream (arthritis cure), hot peppers of various strength. then there's pure capsiasin diluted with oil, but that can actually be dangerous since it can eat holes in skin if it's too concentrated.
and generally this stuff won't wash out once applied, so beware. firstly because it soaks into the skin, and also because most of these aren't soluble in water. so you need to wash it with oil.

I have used ginger, fresh chiles, and dried chiles, as well as fine ground chile powder from the Indonesian "Ghost Pepper" in BDSM play.  @ParanoidSadist, it isn't at all true that these things "aren't used at all" in BDSM play, but you must also remember, in a crowded dungeon they are less visible than someone throwing around a flogger or 6 foot whip. Someone could be playing with these items just on the other side of that big cross, and if their bottom was gagged you'd have no reason to even know it was going on.

Dangerous? @NicoleNorth IcyHot can be at least as dangerous as most peppers available commercially. Extracted capsaicin oil is another story. Sure, when I put some chile dust on my tongue before giving cunniligus to my partner, she has freaked out, sure that her pussy is on fire and it will NEVER work again. But, there is no actual damage, and within 30 to 45 minutes she is ready for penetration.

Explore, but do so incrementally, a little at a time, start with lips, mouth and tongue, work your way down, increase intensity gently, just like you would with other "toys".

I believe it has to do with the randomness and variety associated with peppers and food in general...like some grapes are kinda sweet, some are really sweet, but youll never know the sweet factor untill you eat it. In the same respect a pepper that may be very concentrated (or maybe not) could be unintentionally applied and may push someone past their pain objective. it all depends on your personal pepper i think..

I would say Icy hot is a man made product and is therefore has a generally universal or predictable effect. more so than a pepper.

Please dont take me wrong, i think peppers are a great idea, and very strange. I would like to experiment with this, but will do so after a bit of research..
