Brain -> Bill Maher BECOMES a Teabagger - 4/23/10 (4/24/2010 8:40:36 PM)

As usual Maher is right. It's pretty disingenuous complaining about debt and welfare without one look at the biggest offender, America's bloated military industrial complex.

Like Maher say's, lasers don't stop underwear bombers, subs don't prevent suicide car bombers and just who are the next generation of fighter planes intended to fight?

Bill Maher BECOMES a Teabagger - 4/23/10

Real Time with Bill Maher: New Rules from April 23, 2010 in which Bill Maher puts on his teabagger hat and tells it like it is.

I LOVED that last night! He's dead on target about teabaggers too: inbred, toothless idiots holding racial biases and also illiterates too.

Firstborn, you left out one thing, "voters."

The show was pretty funny, but the whole Tea bag hat thing just made me cringe. I agree with all the policy positions Mahr said he was for: ending the bailouts, getting the frack out of Iraq, etc. But I've BEEN to a tea party protest, to man the Libertarian Party booth and try to get people to vote for me. And I did not see what the media says is there. The event was held on tax day in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, and I admit the crowd was largely retired people, but who else would go to an event held during work hours? It was a sedate crowd camped out on lawn chairs, and it was the same kind of crowd who would show up to any free hot dog event in the park. There were a few signs that made me scratch my head -- what exactly is a Bastiat? who knows -- but the day before, the local paper said a group called Crash the Tea Party was planning to show up with embarassing, misspelled signs to discredit the tea partiers, so that was probably them. I did not see hate, anger, racial prejudice, or much of anything beyond a lot of my fellow candidates circulating and shaking hands, while the voters tried to score free food.

Free food ? I knew these parties were good for something.

The people that will vote teabagger in the up and coming elections are the same people that voted Republican in the last election.

TheHeretic -> RE: Bill Maher BECOMES a Teabagger - 4/23/10 (4/26/2010 10:15:14 PM)

And the people who voted Obama in the last election will be staying home, DG.

Talk about bias and stereotypes ...

You forgot treasonous, maybe?

Firm

PS.  Oh, yeah, on that "illiterate" remark:

Poll

From whence comes this chart:

If TEA party supports are "illiterate", what does that make the rest of the US population?

It also looks like more of them work full time, and fewer are unemployed than the US average.

I could go over the rest of your BS, but .... naahhh ... you are safely ensconced in your own little world, I suspect.

Jeffff -> RE: Bill Maher BECOMES a Teabagger - 4/23/10 (4/27/2010 3:41:19 AM)

So these folks are our brightest and best?

That is a different way of looking at it.

I believe that by the time the elections roll around that "the voting" public will have figured out the political affiliations of the tea baggers and that you will not see any voting support from other than the right.

I also believe that the very presence of the tea baggers will "bring out" the vote. This is a very stupid movement. It will prove out to be a very poorly conceived movement and will backfire in the face of those who support it.

There is no problem with being fiscally conservative. There is a huge problem with being duped by a party and those who profess to be fiscally conservative but are nothing more than far right wing conservatives.

Yes, let's talk about that.
It is easy to see that the teabaggers are highly educated and well-infromed.  [sm=rofl.gif]
