I believe I would eat a broken sub. I would almost certainly pick it up from the floor first, though.

He loves the cage. It's his "little home." i totally identify.

Btw, i did not put the blankets on him like that. He did it to himself. i guess he was cold.....

Blind? Pointless?

Not at all.
If you think dogs are unable to discriminate between who they should and shouldn't love, then try ordering someone else's dog about.

As far as pointless, a dog's love will teach you how you can love better. By being unconditional. By being there for you when you need to cry. By not shaming you for being weak. By helping you reach out and connect when you have huge difficulties doing so with people. Which is why many therapists who work with children have a dog there, because the children can connect with the dog, accept the dog's affection and lean on the dog's love for strength they don't have.

Therapy animals can help children who can't be reached by human therapists. The animal leads the way because the animal will not put itself into danger, unlike people. And thus the animal is safe to follow, follow back into connecting with people.
