baileythorne -> Topcat (9/15/2004 6:49:39 PM)

I posted this in the lounge awhile back as this forum didn't exist. Now that it does, I'll post it here as well.
For the full thread, goto: My Summer Vacation: http://www.collarme.com/forum/m_15901/mpage_1/key_//tm.htm#15901

I spent July 4th weekend with Topcat and I wanted to share a bit of what occurred with this group as it seems to be his 2nd home :-)

It all started with Tribe.net. I saw his profile there. I pinged him by asking about a mutual friend. He asked to be on my friends list. I insisted on an exchange of 20 questions... He referred me to his profiles and posts on bondage.com & collarme.com. Then came the phone calls. Over 20 hours of phone calls.

When I want something and I feel it's reciprocated, I don't hold back. I talked my boss into sending me to NYC over the holiday weekend on business. I casually mentioned that I would be in NY. He asked if I would have time to meet for coffee. That escalated over the next two weeks to a discussion about safe sex and the potential of playing. If, if, if.... we had great long distance chemistry. We wouldn't know if it translated to the real world until we took the risk of meeting each other. I had a reason to be in NY other than seeing him and a place to stay if it didn't work out. I asked for identifying info and set up a safe call with a friend in Brooklyn. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.

We met. We were both so nervous we were shaking. We had dinner. Lawrence was a perfect gentleman and we found we were at ease with each other. I checked his ID. I checked in with my friend in Brooklyn. We continued to make small talk and I saw the clock creeping towards 10pm. I asked him if he'd take me to Paddles (the local dungeon). I still reserved the right to bail on playing but he felt safe to me and I liked the fact that he wasn't pushing me. There would be time for that later ;-)

He'd given me an idea of something he'd like to do and I dressed appropriately. He gave me a tour of the place and it felt safe. I've been in many a dungeon and the energy was good. We settled upstairs and he made the transition from gentleman to play partner.

He stood and tipped my chin up to him. He looked me straight in the eye and asked me if I trusted him. It was more than that however. Implied was "Do you want to play? Are you willing to let me take control? Do I have your consent?". I'm an edge player so my response may have surprised him. I asked "Do you trust me?" Again, there was so much more behind this question. "Do you trust me with your reputation? Do you trust me to communicate with you clearly? Do you trust me to handle what you throw at me gracefully?". There were witnesses and he'd not laid a hand on me to this point other than as a gentlemanly courtesy. We were both taking risks.

I don't remember if either of us actually answered the question aloud. But he crossed the line to dominant and never looked back. I haven't played in many months and I surrendered myself to his care, his whims, and his direction.

I won't go into the details of the scene other than to say it involved cutting my clothes off with a knife and a session of impact play. When we were done he picked me up and returned me to the chair where we had started. A woman sitting next to me commented to us "That was amazing to watch. You two are so connected. How long have you been playing together?" I smiled my most innocent smile and in a haze I told her "We just met tonight". True, but not the entire story. I can be a bit of an imp.

He is passionate. He includes kissing, biting, and touch as a part of his play. He gave me a safeword and asked once or twice if I remembered the word. I never came close to using it. After the loss of a partner a few years ago, I thought I'd lost this part of myself. Lawrence showed me I had not. It's just been dormant. Waiting for the right catalyst. And I found it.

I spent the weekend with him and we played privately. Parts of my sexuality that I'd buried away blossomed beautifully. I am so glad I took the risk to go to New York and to meet this man.

I wanted to post this here to tell people that there are real people on the boards who play in real life. Follow your dreams. The reality can be even more powerful.

And, for all of you who are fans of his butt, attached is one of the photos we took of the two of us that I will treasure.

--cheers,
bailey

Thank you. I believe you are local to the San Francisco area? If so, please say hello the next time we cross paths? I'll be at Folsom Fringe this year. I volunteered to be one of the demo people for the wax play class.

I think Lawrence should build a website dedicated to his ... ummm, well....

the part in that picture...................grinssssssssssssssssssssss

Congrats, bailey...there is nothing like finding someone you click with in the lifestyle.

January -> RE: Topcat (9/20/2004 6:52:50 AM)

I'm a big fan of Lawrence's backside, but every time I see that picture of you together, I think, "Wow! Bailey sure has beautiful skin!" (Um... Your skin is all I can see in the pic, so it's NOT damning with faint praise!)

Yuppers I am. Well I'm more near Sacramento but I used to run through the munch circuit throughout the Bay area for a few years ebfore hermitting the last couple of years.

Just starting to get back out there, but haven't had the huge urge to hit the Bay area circuits for some reason so far - I imagine eventually it'll hit me again lol.

I tended to be around the sfbay-bdsm irc crowd, and Ive met you a few times, just yanno, I'm sure Im one of the blurs, lol. I know you meet hundreds of people regularly, and I don't think we ever had a really deep talk, mostly hi bye, nice ta meetcha type of stuff, but I've seen you around the same places I haunt online and off for the last 6-7 years, and we have many mutual acquaintences.

I don't think I've met a single person with a bad thing to say about you - and that's pretty rare. lol.

I'll definitely say hello if I see you about again - that is if I can elbow my way through the crowd that tends to surround you *wink* LOL!

I'm hoping to make Folsom this year - I crashed my little car last week and it;s in the shop not sure if it will get fixed in time, supposed to be running (although no body work will be done yet so it will be ugly wahhh) by mid next week, so I'm hoping we'll still manage to get to go!

It would be the first year I've missed it in like 7 years and we have oodles of pics to take!

I understand. I've mostly been a hermit the last two years. Lost a partner due to a job relocation that I just never really emotionally let go of. Haven't been involved with anyone local on a play basis since that time. I have been involved in two LDRs. Topcat has been a revitalizing force in my life, but he's not local, so I'm still a bit of a hermit at times.

I did volunteer at the Citadel for quite some time on Saturday nights and I had a few amusing questions asked, like "Do you ever play?". Life does go through cycles, you know? I used to be naked and playing in a dungeon 3 of 4 weekends a month for most of 5 years, then Steven moved to Miami and... well, I just haven't had the interest until recently. And I'm ok with that.

Thank you. I strive to fit seamlessly in all of the local communities but I'm sure I've rubbed someone the wrong way at some time.

I've enjoyed reading your posts and I like you enthusiasm. Hope you make it to Folsom :-)

My dear J.-

I've seen the rest of her. It's all beautiful...

Stay warm,
Lawrence

ShadeDiva -> RE: Topcat (9/24/2004 7:56:11 PM)

I can say I've seen the rest too hehehe!

And he is SO right! She is just gorgeous and spunky.

To bailey:
*sigh* I'm so abrasive, I cant seem to help pissing off folks, LOL. Dpesn't look like I'll make it, my little car is still in the shop. No fair!

::wah, pout, stomp,cry...generalized and completely ineffectual hissy fit and tantrum goes here::

Ah well.

I'm sorry you were unable to attend. The weather was great for the street fair.

And as far as seeing me naked, well, the whole dungeon got an eyeful on Saturday night at Odyssey's Folsom Fringe. This was the first time in over two years I've played in a public dungeon in the bay area. Lawrence was unable to make it but I finally seem to have opened up a bit since seeing him and was willing to take the chance.
