There have been a lot of posts lately about pro sub and pro dom. I'd like to learn about being a pro sub. How does someone do this? Is there a "calling" in many areas? Just give me any thoughts you have.

I'd just say be careful, be selective and take a body guard with you.

I dont think its a profession you could do alone, you would need a partner in at least another room who is looking out for you.

I think I'd contact one of the pro-subs who are already established to find out about the pro's and con's.

I only know of one lady who works this way, and seems to have done for a long time. Ophelia in NYC. I believe you can probably get in touch with her through the boards on Max Fisch. She seems very friendly, so can't imagine she'd mind you asking.

Not always, alas, but they really ought to do so as it's a dangerous business to be in. The bare minimum safety measure ought to be the presence of a beefy bodyguard within calling distance or - if gags are being used - in the same room.

I am a pro sub just starting out. I have a Master who looks out for me. Contacts I refer to him and he decides if they're ok or not, based on what they want and whats in my Fetish lists.
If the demands are too high or the client sounds like an out and out sadist or just plain weird we politely decline. The money is not my primary concern....pleasing my Master is. The money  enables us to be able to buy more 'toys'
Its making money the hard way....there are easier and safer ways.
For me, besides the reasons I've given, I enjoy play so its mixing business with pleasure and at my age (49) to be able to combine the two does a lot for my self esteem.
Re; the dangers....I was a hooker 15 years age for a while so I'm aware of the dangers of  the pro scene.

I just finished reading Joan Kelly's autobiography The Pleasure's All Mine: The Memoirs Of A Professional Submissive. It was an interesting read. Probably not all that helpful as a how-to guide, but you might find it interesting.

Was my first rental today as a pro-sub. I was delivered in the trunk of my Masters car  wrist and ankle cuffed, ball gagged, butt plugged and blindfolded, wearing just stockings and a short coat and transferred to another car driven by the guy who was renting me. Money changed hands and I was led on a lead from one car to the other, like a slave being bought and sold. Little scared but excited at the same time.......
The session was fine but it could have been different. Once my Master had driven off, I had no safeguards should my safeword be ignored.
You need to put a lot of trust in someone you know next to nothing about.
I've gotten through the first session unscathed, flirted with danger and made some money for my Master......no regrets.
