angeIic -> 'Invisible' lock/catch (5/10/2010 12:57:49 PM)

I am looking for a collar which is basically a plain metal cord/string. Preferably silver but the exact metal is less of an issue.
I have in the past seen what I'd class as a choker, where one end fits inside the other end making it appear to be one solid circle. My problem is... I can't find it again.

If anyone has any suggestions as to where to look for something like this I'd really appreciate the pointers!!

again, look to VadFarkas, I believe he has a design like that.

Thank you both so much for your input. That is the style I'm looking for, however these are too heavyduty for what I have in mind. I need to be able to wear something which can pass as a necklace whilst at work and performing other everyday activities and hobbies. Preferably something thin enough for me to slip my pendant onto as well or something I could use as the base and then interchange the pendants whilst the collar remains the constant.

I really appreciate all your ideas... *warm smiles..*

Once again, Thank you mnottertail for the referral. I'm about to pull the plug on the computers and pack them up for our move to Arizona.

angelic, Sorry you can't find what you are looking for but I see women all over wearing what looks like thin wire rings with pendants, so they should not be that hard to find. The thinnest I make is 1/4 inch, http://www.ringofsteel.net/images/dawnquarter.jpg

Good Luck in your search.

OK I think I fixed the link.

Check out Wyred Slave.  They might have something more along the lines of what you're looking for.

I would love a collar that can be worn permantnetly but nobody knows what it means but us.

I'm loving the collars I've seen... but they are sadly still too thick for the purpose I'm envisaging.
Maybe I'll just have to check with a jeweller when I have the opportunity.

A 'collar' in my view can be anything a couple want it to be.
Mine for the moment is a necklace on a normal silver chain with a one of a kind pendant we've had made.
It's been my training collar and my collar of consideration....
Now that we are considering making our commitment more permanent, we decided that something more collar-like was appropriate and it seems as if I may just be finding a choker arrangement for this.
To me that will be my constant reminder during my daily life and it would still allow for me to wear other collars and being leashed as part of scening etc.
I hope you find something which will feel right for you..

I love the stuff at Eternity Collars... but their website is infected according to Norton... and I don't go near it.  It's a new thing as I was there about 6 months ago... but now... when I go it stops me.  I wish I had their phone # to tell them... but I don't

I get no warnings accessing their site. And yes, their stuff is lovely and I'd wear it in a heartbeat, but in my line of work, it would be severely frowned upon.

angelic,

Try Tiffany. They have the chord style mentioned. It's a Paloma Picasso design and there are variations. If you want sterling there's two options. A thinner chain that has various charms of your choosing. The heart style can be engraved. There's also a circular one as well. They have a padlock too that you might want to consider. A heavier chain with interlocking links is also an option if you want something meatier down the road. The neat thing about this jeweler are the coordinating pieces. You can add the corresponding ring or bracelet which allows you to interchange or wear them all together if you'd like. I can attest for the sturdiness and quality. I've had my engraved set for several years. Good luck.
