ORIGINAL: JstAnotherSub the scorpion can not give consent to this, so dont abuse our friends, the scorpions. On a more serious vein (No pun intended), being stung or bitten by some insect or reptile is, in some tribal traditions, part and parcel of the initiation into manhood rites or rites of passage if you prefer. If I wanted to test myself or anyone else for that matter with this form of testing, I would be seeking a neurologist who was prepared to administer tests with the specific poisons or poisons under strict clinical conditions to ascertain the effects on either myself or the person who is to undergo that test. This was we should be able to ensure that the ordeal doesn't result in either cardio failure, respiratory collapse or anaphylactic shock. Not my cup of tea but I have followed the path I just suggested when I have been going to areas with stingy beasties present and which are a problem for those not native to that area. I also know people who have snake venom injected to aid (in theory) a resistance when and if they are bitten.
