I am starting to do some functions as a Mistress and I am looking for the right outfits
glamourous, fetish but not too riskay is what I am looking for
any one have Ideas?

Ah, the classics. A mistress is femminie, beautiful, powerful. Think clothing along those lines. The classic polished leather bustier is nice, but htere are lots of other choices. A well tailored business suit, an evening gown or nurses uniform can all be quite striking.

And don't even get me started on the shoes...

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know of a good place stateside to get Domina apparel for the non-supermodel? I'm not overweight, but I don't get along with my thighs, and if I'm in a crotch-length, skin-tight latex skirt I just won't be able to focus on what I'm doing.

welll sweet I too am not supermodel measured but I like the look of vinyl, pvc and Leather on ladies with curves, the curver the better
a lot of fetish clothing sites have larger size departments too

It all depends what someone defines as a Mistress Outfit?

A teachers outfit? Someone 100% in leather and boots? or the same in latex? With or without corset?
Lots of possibilities but it is the other party that will have the impression whether you are Mistress or not?
I domme also very well with my bathrobe on

But for nice corsets have a look at Tawselovers Corsets
For nice boots look at Boots

And custommade is also possible. Including the not so supermodel type of people.

I have purchased quite a few items from this ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/ALTER-EGO-EROTICS

They have all size ranges and deal in some great quality stuff. If you ever have a question or need to make return/exchange they get to you promptly. I have 4 of their corsets and they are simply excellent.

I suppose it speaks to my age (59) and size (18), but I have aways found classic firm control foundation garments to be an especially erotic dress for intimate torture and punishment. The "girdled Domme".....different but exciting to me and to the Women I as with.

For me, a dominant woman in a well-tailored business suit gets my attention faster than a roomful of leather-clad, whip-wielding dominatrixes. Don't think you have to look like something out of an S&M video to be dominant.

Oh I agree that A good domme can dominant even in a bathrobe (or less)
but I am looking for fantasy and/or fetish outfits to go out to fetish event in and make all the subs have their little fantasies
I am looking for the outfits just to have fun in and maybe have a lot of fun it

I have a black dress and black leather boots...that is the basic outfit.

Now accessories can be anything.....

I wear a sliver belt made out of metal the links are oval shaped,or the heart metal one with the black cap with the Diamond heart on it. Silver choker.

I have also done leather boots with a buckle,more of a western style,wear a Cowgirl hat,and a leather vest or jacket.

I have also done just the dress and a really fancy shawl,long gloves,black hat,stockings with the seam up the back with high heels,I broke My ankle and cant do a high heel so I go with a medium height and thicker heel.

ALL of these items were bought at Wal-Mart * Except the dress came from Fashion Bug*

Amen to that! Personally, I think a woman wears her dominance on the inside; that being said, the *less* one shows of the outside the more dominant one appears. One of my pet peeves is to see someone with her breasts bared, stocking tops and/or panties showing (and oh lordy me sometimes a collar) carrying a riding crop and trying to appear dominant. It's obvious that she asked some submissive male what he thought a dominant woman should wear. One wants to give the impression of what's there, never the actuality; a skintight catsuit with gloves and boots will make you look ten times more erotic than a peek-a-boo outfit. Make people work for their fantasies, don't hand it to them on a silver platter. What you wear for personal bedroom domination is not going to be the sort of thing you'd wear to a public function.

And - all that being said - the picture in my avatar is an advertising shot. It's designed to encourage clients to want to see even more - in real life, my clients will rarely see that much of my body and usually even less.

While there's nothing wrong with fetishizing specific clothes as part of your BDSM play, there are a lot of experienced people in the scene who do not feel that it is right to define a dominant woman by what she wears. There are also some folks whose personal power and dominance does not emanate from their femininity or sexuality, but from strength and personal confidence, because their style of dominance is not the same as the "traditional femmy domme" model.

More power to ya if you like fancy clothes and shoes, and your partner likes fancy clothes and shoes, but there's plenty of people in the lifestyle who feel that what's on the inside is so much more important than what you happen to be wearing that the clothes truly don't matter.

Besides, if you're blindfolded and face down on a St. Andrew's cross, you won't be able to see what the domme is wearing anyhow. LOL

I got both of my outfits....one a dress and one a lacey pj outfit....at fashion bug plus.....and someone here said who cares what you are wearing they better not be seeing that much of you it should be all about your voice and power.

Robyn, if you don't want to go the full out rubber/pvc fetish look then I'd suggest the mix and match. As a rubber/shiny fetishest I find it extremely sexy to see a woman in a suit with a shiny corset, and or boot, or shiny gloves, combined by cotton like fabric clothes. On goth night I was was enthrawed not by thigh boots or full got outfit but by this rather plain girl in a B&W stripped long sleeve top; I kept seeing about 2-4" of shiny corset peaking out of her top depending on her dancing. Her plain look both in clothes and face combined with the "hidden" corset made me into mush thinking about what she was really like.
