I am new to the scene and want to start with an online D/s and want to know how to find a trustworthy Dom, any tips?

Best way, is to start reading. There are a number of sources within collarme.com that you can jump start your path. Some of the Dommes (and subs) here will no doubtfully provide a few places to start learning. Its more then just works, jargon, concepts; its about being yourself. Treat a Domme as you'd wish to treat a real Lady, and you'll find someone you'll really enjoy. Treat a Domme poorly or disrespectfully, and you'll be back to 'looking' for a while.

When serving a Domme, your goal is to keep her happy. BUT, to play Devil's Advocate, make sure the Domme isn't using you only for her advancement. D/s relationships, like vanilla relationships, are based on mutual trust and love. Every relationship is different, but all of them depend on the Domme and sub, working to help the other grow.

Now, if I could just find a Domme myself...

Welcome.
I would suggest you put something in your profile as to what you're looking for and what you might have to offer a prosective online partner. What are you looking for from online domination?

I would also suggest you use the search feature to look for information and ideas from past posts.

Also, be sure to read the FAQs thread here on the Ask a Mistress forum as it will give you some basic information on netiquette and profile writing/profile photo ideas.

Also, lurk here for a bit and then maybe do some posting...get to be known by others on the boards and who knows where that could lead. Trust doesn't happen overnight...try to be positive and patient.

I would also recommend joining a local group or two. Your profile says you're 18, so your options might be limited since most places you have to be 21 or over. However, I do know there are TNG (The Next Generation) groups in Ann Arbor and Toledo, though Im not sure if the minimum age is 18 or 19 , it depends on the particular group. These arent just places to find someone however. They are a wealth of knowledge, and can be a fantastic support system.

Best advice I can give you though is be polite, respectful, and willing to learn. I was in your shoes once, having started at 18, and I know its hard. Just keep a positive attitude, what you are looking for will come in time.
