Modern Liberals had zero, zip, nada to do with any of that. Today JFK would be a staunch conservative, and he wouldn't even recognize many of the far left fanatics who have seized the liberal label lately. Communists and anarchists and hateful souls who despise everything uniquely American...
You barely have Liberals in the states...your far-left whackos are pretty much centrists by any other country's definition of the term.

It's a long running comedy gag as he always attempts to claim he is the center.

A girlfight with a happy ending!

"Ending" being the operative word here.  Back to "Tea party misconceptions" please.

It would be nice if the op would fucking address them....But no....what about Rand Paul and Mark "Monkey God" Williams.

two racist or at the least very unintelligent tea baggers.

domiguy -> RE: Tea Party Misconceptions... (5/24/2010 7:38:47 PM)

Starting unnecessary wars, fear mongering, mission accomplished, polluting rivers, drill baby drill, tea baggers.

You were right the first time...the parties have switched sides, but the ancestors of Republican Senator Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III were in fact conservatives...it was the bleeding heart liberals who ended slavery.

The Republican Party today is the heir to the Confederacy; they even celebrate that fact.

domiguy -> RE: Tea Party Misconceptions... (5/24/2010 8:11:10 PM)

Know your history...Poor dumb tazzy.

tazzygirl -> RE: Tea Party Misconceptions... (5/24/2010 8:25:06 PM)

Slavery ... oh, wait. My bad.

Actually correct the radical not reactionary Republicans in the US Senate were beind teh 13th amendment. Too bad the party has fallen so far from the ideals of its founders and their greatest President Teddy Roosevelt.

Musicmystery -> RE: Tea Party Misconceptions... (5/24/2010 8:59:14 PM)

What's sad is that it's the only major conservative achievement he could think of...and it wasn't even that.

Firm

I try.  I am just amazed at the things I see typed at times.

Give me a nice cup of poncey Earl Grey rather than any of that shite the teabaggers are drinking.

I love Earl Grey, definitely my favorite.  Teabaggers, not so much, I view them as racist.  The ones I know, who admit to liking their cause are racists who are scared of immigrants, they also seem jealous of Obama, just my personal experience.

I totally agree on the Earl Grey. Twinings is my favorite.

Can't say that I personally know anyone who claims to be a teabagger, but I know a few who are seriously looking into the group. But none of them are racist. While I try to avoid contact with racists, I do come in contact with some and they are all democrats. Funny how that works. I guess you can find ignorance in any group, just depends on where you go. I do find it amusing that so many on the left are trying so hard to paint the teabaggers as racist. It makes me wonder what they are afraid of.

Paint the teabaggers as racist....Do you have eyes? Do you have the capability of being honest? what about Rand Paul's comments or those of Mark "Monkey God" Williams?

No one is trying hard to paint them as anything more than they are showing themselves to be.

Unbelievable post.

I didn't say trying to paint those two individuals as racist, I said the whole party. Now I know you will not see this and if you do, you won't admit it, but yes. There are some people on this forum who will claim that anyone even thinking about joining the tea party is racist. Then they will go back to claiming to be open minded and critical thinkers.
